Getting banned is incredibly scary when you love the forum and it's content, Don't want to miss out on anything

heh no harm in saying that we did this on WGT. Some accounts had some juicy gossip lol (ex: hovz) and others were of praise and/or misunderstanding of posting etiquette (ex: control)

Of course banning works. Worst case is you aren't plagued by their posts for some time and best case you can stop banning them//not perm them.

many of helpful and epic posts came from people who are now perma-banned.
it happens. legendary personalities usually agitate the type of personality that enjoys "moderating".

I was only warned once and a few seconds later I got an apology from the mod who sent it and the red "User was warned for this post." was removed. So I'm actually curious if stuff like warnings can be undone? Now I don't know if I have a warning in my track record or not. :/

Somewhere around 2007 or 2008, I was temp banned for some amount of time (2 days or a week, not sure) for "verbose yet shitty posting".

Those words will haunt me forever.

I was given a rather rough 2 day ban (as harsh as a 2 day ban can be

) for not reading the thread thoroughly.

Think it was the TL invitational for north america and i asked if some dudes (ret and someone more?) wasnt invited. Next thing I know it I had a 2day ban for not reading the thread. I guess mani had a bad day or maybe there was 1231423 people who asked that question.

The only thing that buggers me with that is that after reading the thread I didnt get it - only understood it when the write up came.

Would be really sad if I lost this ID though ;(

Never been warned or banned, but I've only been here for 6 months. I assume I'll get one for some incredibly stupid post I make in the future though.

Also, I can think of a few people who have been temp banned and now post well. A lot of people avoid posting though after a temp ban =/

I was warned for quoting a hilarious political joke and mentioning that steven colbert couldn't even whip something that funny up. Got warned for mentioning politicians in a funny picture thread.

(steven colberts a freaking comedian)

I have been warned once, someone had written a really long post and I said something along the lines of "I just read quickly trough it, because it's fairly tldr" and then writing a response to some things in that post

Took me a long while to recover, for a long time I would write up a post, then think "is this a really good post" and 99% of the time just hit the back button on my browser :p

I did start recovering a while ago and started posting more, but I'm still afraid of getting hit by the banhammer :p (wich is a good thing probably)
