Just remember guys, this guy is scamming the esports community. I've removed my association from Gus and I'm already telling all my teammates to do the same. I will create a proper thread for this but for the mean time, I'm going to try fixing things up with the hotel..

i'm sure people on scene are reading this thread, where exactly is gus and have they talked to him about it???

It doesn't matter if you think he's 100% guilty, on principal you should give him his fair say before declaring him guilty. In both the EG/TSL and Major/Sixjax threads, people thought one party was 100% guilty until hearing the other side.
When these threads get so long the issue inevitably gets blown out of proportion and details get exaggerated left and right. At some point you have to ask the question whether some tournament in the Phililpines warrants all the attention and importance you are giving it. I remember the Major/Sixjax threads. Major's 'side' of the story never changed the fact that he conducted himself in an unprofessional manner, he just gave 'excuses' for his conduct. The people who were siding Major were using the skewed, Sixjax is an evil, scam team, therefore Major had the right to act as a douche, forgetting that his conduct is a direct product of his character flaws and not related to how 'badly' he was treated by Sixjax. The members of TL feel that he is guilty, based on concrete EVIDENCE, and until Gus says anything substantial that can prove himself innocent, he doesn't deserve a side of the story. It is obvious that he knows what's going on, as his team has been censoring the hate he's been getting since the start of this fiasco. If you have nothing to contribute in this thread, you shoudn't post at all. You claim that this thread is of no importance, and we have too much time on our hands, yet you continue to post your, it's not important anyway nonsense. This tournament had an allstar line up of players from all over the world, a qualifier for a spot in IPL4. Surely it warrants some importance? You and the other outraged people in this thread are clearly acting on the assumption that the targets of accusations are guilty until proven innocent. That assumption continues the precedent set by the EG/TSL, NASL/Korean SC2 Association and Major/Sixjax threads, which is that one side of a story is sufficient to crucify the other side. It's simply not a reasonable or productive way to approach these issues. Have some patience and wait for the dust to settle and all the facts to come to light before creating redundant threads and pretending to be the judge and jury. And you can't act like Gus's timeframe to respond has passed, and therefore he doesn't deserve to be heard. The real world doesn't operate at the pace of internet forum threads filled with outraged people who can post anonymously. And for the record I'm contributing something very valuable to this thread, which is the voice of reason and patience.
This 'drama' is nothing close to the examples you've listed. Major/Sixjax was between a player and a team. EG/TSL was between a player, a coach, and a team. The NASL/SC2Con issue was a disagreement by both sides. Those were either simple disagreements and/or miscommunication.
This particular case of 'drama', on the other hand, involves cheating individuals and even entire organizations out of money. This case of 'drama' was one individual practically setting back the eSPORTs scene of the entire SEA region. This 'drama' involves several promises to several people that were never made.

It's so easy to disregard this shit as "something we'll forget for a long time" when Team Liquid is so used to seeing small shit erupt like a volcano and beaten like a dead horse. What you guys fail to see is the difference in the gravity of this situation.
- People who paid money for VIP tickets were refused entry. When they complained, their comments were censored. - IPL sponsored this event and at this moment it is not known how much of their money were actually put towards eSports. - S2 sponsored a HoN tournament that never happened, the money they put in (~USD$2300) is unaccounted for. - YoonYJ was promised (with a signed contract) a flight to attend PPSL, but was denied the opportunity only to be replaced by a member of the organizer's team. - Dox ran an AUS qualifier (which took a lot of time and effort) just for this event and was f*cked over as well. - Several filipino players who qualified were denied entry into the tournament. - The guy being blamed has the guts to say "GL with that" when confronted with the prospect of being exposed.
How the f*ck does the Puma/EG or the Major/Sixjax drama compare to all this shit? Either way, no one was affected by those dramas, people simply took sides and a bitch-war erupted. This is much, much different, don't you think?

Stay Vigilant; We must come together for E-Sports to resolve the situation and find out who is responsible and for what.

Wait, this guy got HoN players to come over while there was no HoN tournament? The hell?!
My mind doesn't compute the amount of fucks that flow through it right now.

I read all the threads and whatnot to get caught up on everything. I gotta say this is the worst thing to happen to the community, players, and even the the rest of the staff on team AZK in awhile. I hope people keep following IPL's lead and make their own statements on it.

+ Show Spoiler +GUYS New Updates i just found a Message from the Thread that YJY Stared Involving the Fiasco apparently someone Close to AZK Team posted a message on the Fiasco It's on Page 6 Link Here http://www.sc2sea.com/showthread.php?t=2699&page=6This is a message from a close friend of some of the players of AZK who feel ashamed that Gus has done such atrocities and feel ashamed and sad because they are shown in bad light to many (the world Especially their Team name AZK) because of what Gus had done and what has transpired. Please do not hate the Players it appears many of the Players had no idea what had transpired and feel ashamed and upset about the fiasco that has happened.=================================================================== " Dear SEA Community
I'd like to bring forward a couple of things concerning this situation and the criticism received.
First off, I am not speaking on behalf of any of the AZK team members or management. I know some of their clan members personally and I am friends with them, and have been talking to them about recent events.
They are all in distress. Many of the clan members had no idea about the scams, shame and controversial acts that took place behind their backs. Many of their members expected that of which was told to them, a tournament consisting of the best SEA players paired with some top pro Koreans. They had no idea about what AZK's management did to achieve such a goal as well...
Although what really shook me up while talking to one of them was his concern with the reputation of the players of AZK themselves. Almost none of the members of the team actually were aware of the events their manager Gus had been involved in, and what so called treachery he had committed towards the entire Starcraft 2 community. All they did was look up to him to provide for the team in hopes of becoming a well known and respected clan in SEA. Then when this happens, and suddenly the world turns against Team AZK, they feel extremely distressed not only because such a reputation has been given to the team, but the players feel that they are being blamed as well. Because the scams and such are depicted as 'Team AZK's' fault, or further flame such as 'Team AZK is a terrible team', the players feel as if they are being blamed for the entirety of the scams, and worst of all, some players are starting to believe that it is their fault as well, and as such, are questioning team commitments and total separation.
Now I am aware that some AZK members aren't on the top of the list of the friendliest Starcraft 2 players, but i know a handful of them, and they are extremely nice and friendly people, who are now shook up and lost entirely given the present situation. The players just did as their management told them to, and up until the current events, thought that the management was doing nothing wrong.
The players are also extremely sorry about your situation YoonYJ, and I know one of them that was even extremely eager to meet you. They had no idea about that such a breach, and they all feel betrayed and lost, and they all hope that they will still have a place in the Starcraft 2 SEA scene.
So I do ask you of the SEA community, a community of understanding, to just be aware of this, and maybe construct your posts with these facts in consideration.
I do feel what AZK management did was unacceptable and requires a formal apology if any condolences are to be made, but lets keep our fingers pointed toward them/him and maybe not towards the players themselves.
I post this not as an official statement from the team, nor as one of their members. I post this as a close friend of a couple of the AZK members, and do as for your consideration." =================================================================== THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT PEOPLE JUST A PER-SE RELAYED MESSAGE VIA FRIEND OF AZK CLAN MEMBERS Just making sure you Understand that.

I may not know what the Filipino's did to the DotA scene but that is blatant racism right there. It was simly one man's or perhaps even more people's fault, but to call out an entire nation out is an exteremly disgusting and immature response.
