I love hotblooded mecha stuff. whooo!
Do you really? I mean I would have recommended more mecha stuff, but I saw you gave GGG a 5, and GGGF a 6...
Well ok, I'll give it a shot.
First up is Scryed. It isn't really a mecha show, more like a super-power show. + Show Spoiler +
Inb4 Southlight responds with Reckless Fire because I mentioned this show.
Its like if GGG or TTGL would be if there wasn't mechs. Its really good, I enjoyed it alot. Tons of hot-blooded action and all that good stuff.
Next is Gunbuster. Its an older show, from the 80s. Its the show that put Gainex on the map. This is a personal favorite of mine, and a few other guys here (Spazer, for instance). Its one of the few Super Robot shows that actually tries to mix in realism and physics into the story meaningfully, and still doing a good job with it. The story is about guts and hard word, and its only a 6-episode OVA as well, so its an easy watch.
Godannar is another suggestion. Godannar is like the perfect fusion of plot, characters, and tons of fanservice. So if you don't like fanservice, like tits and ass all over the place, then you can avoid this one. But if you don't mind that, or even enjoy things like that, then this show will be great for you.
Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector is GREAT if you are into SRW. It blows Divine Wars out of the water. Everything is better. EVERYTHING. It was so well done compared to Divine Wars. Normally I don't recommend this, since its meant for people who had played the games, but since you watched the first one, you should be fine.

Hey guys, I realize this is likely frowned upon, but here goes anyways:
I have a week long break here between classes and work, and was wondering if anyone could recommend me a good anime? My personal favourites are Clannad/AS, Kanon, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Code Geass. I have also watched and enjoy InuYasha, Elfen Lied, Air, SailorMoon (go go nostalgia), Angel Beats!, and Kenshin. I tend to like shows that are touching. I also like shows that are smart and keep you guessing like Code Geass. I usually stray away from shows like Naruto and Bleach that are too on-going because I find the plot and the characters gets old after the initial arc.
I was thinking of watching Higurashi, but it hasn't really gripped me in the first few episodes just yet...

I really think you should watch true touching drama like ef, and the like. I mean if you liked Elfen Lied and Higurashi, I'd say give School Days a shot too.
But Ef is good.
Watching Animelo Summer 2010 right now, Kinda disappointed at some of their costumes, and Kotoko's poor dental work.

5cm/s Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai (AnoHana) True Tears Toradora
The ones up there are ones I think that would qualify as touching. Toradora is one of my personal favourites in terms of like slice-of-life/drama/romance. The characters are just awesome and cute. Higurashi is okay at first, but I felt the ending went a little weird.
