i mean this in the nicest possible way. most people are too stupid/lazy to follow him on twitter so its not worth streaming if he isnt on TL. you're right it is a bit of posturing, hes hoping if enough people decide to pm spam chill the ban will be reversed. he has nothing to lose by unleashing his army of followers so he might aswell try.

imagine hot_bid owns a house called the little teamliquid on the prairie. if he allows a stranger in, and offers him a glass of water and a stream to watch. its a privalige not a right for him to expect that person to not break everything? and he shouldnt kick the guy out when he does? thats the point you seem to be arguing

Stream sniping is just a stupid thing to do because there really isn't a way to prove you turned it off afterwards while placing the idea in viewers' minds that you could in fact be cheating. Second monitor? Audio going through to you but not your own stream?

So if he'd called Cruncher retarded instead of a waste of life, he'd have been okay.

I think most of the people here should really chill.

IdrA believed him to be cheating and his response was rather withdrawn if anything. Calling a competitor who you believe cheated a waste of life hardly seems like a bannable offense. What it did was singlehandedly derail the entire thread, this thread is no longer about Cruncher cheating(which I think is absolutely deplorable, and I hope people point it out in every game that Cruncher plays for the rest of his StarCraft II career); this thread however, is now about Idra's statement, community members vs moderators, and whatever else has come up since then. Idra made a single comment that derailed a thread so incredibly that he probably did deserve a short ban or warning for it, because in no way, shape, or form could Idra's statement be shown to advance or add to the ongoing conversation, and that right there is the problem at hand.
How is Idra supposed to help that? Nearly everything he says derails threads. Do you really think by telling his fans to forget Cruncher he intentionally thought this would happen? That he'd even actually get banned?

Calling someone a waste of life over a computer game is not something an adult does. I'm sorry you think it is.

I don't think that's the case at all. IdrA thrives off of controversy like this and the ban isn't going to hurt him in any kind of way.

Gotta say, the more i spend time in TL the more i realize it's just a bunch of elitists running it. I love the site, love the community, but your taking this ''it's my site, i do whatever i want with it'' too far. I don't agree with Idra in almost anything but i respect the guy. Wish i could say the same all the time about TL.net (staff, mods and team). Chill i don't care much for, but Tyler is loosing me. I'm glad other communities are popping up, cause it's getting ridiculous. Pussies!

As an IdrA fan and being here from the start of this nonsense, Why won't you guys just admit that you won't permaban him already because he brings traffic to this site? He's clearly a repeat offender, noone else gets the amount of slack he does. If you ban him for 2 days to "make an example" because you "have integrity" then actually listen to your own rules and nuke his account already.
Just saying, your actions should be governed by set in stone rules.
But this is your house so whatever.

Is calling someone a "waste of life" over a computer game where things shouldn't be taken seriously anyway a very good reason to give a ban? Probably not. However, its done with, and unless Chill decides otherwise (unlikely) then its not gonna change...

lulz Cruncher needs all help he can get to win games O_o

What about cheating in a tournament? Still a computer game. Hell, playing computer games is ABSOLUTELY not something an adult does, why does this site even exist? We should all quit SC2 and go do something useful with our lives!

I know lots of adults, I am recognized as the government as one myself no less.
When you're a mod, you should act like a moderator, and not have ridiculous double standards for your community, and your mod team.
I wouldn't doubt I get banned for my previous post, or this one for that matter.
