Don't really understand why IdrA was banned, his stream is one of the, if not the most popular stream on TL - He didn't exactly seem to do anything wrong either, he stated the obvious and was moderated, yet Cruncher's post was editting to stop drama? (and if anything made idra look bad for the entire event).

What it did was singlehandedly derail the entire thread, this thread is no longer about Cruncher cheating(which I think is absolutely deplorable, and I hope people point it out in every game that Cruncher plays for the rest of his StarCraft II career); this thread however, is now about Idra's statement, community members vs moderators, and whatever else has come up since then. Idra made a single comment that derailed a thread so incredibly that he probably did deserve a short ban or warning for it, because in no way, shape, or form could Idra's statement be shown to advance or add to the ongoing conversation, and that right there is the problem at hand.

At the end of the day Void Rays are just pixels on a screen, no need to get mad about an entire race. The only one getting hurt are your pixelized roaches and your ladder points... which Tasteless will end up taking anyways.
tl;dr
fuck Tasteless

I'd argue that his comment was to get them to stop paying mind to Cruncher's alleged cheating.
If that were the reason, which it wasn't, then he should not be blamed for peoples' response to his post with opposite intention.

While I agree it's absolutely inexcusably shitty if he did in fact stream cheat, do we have any real evidence?
Someone with his name in the chat is not evidence, he could have had it muted/turned off and been chilling in the stream in order to get a game in.
Stream sniping isnt a big deal at all imo, while stream cheating CERTAINLY is (this game is based off limited information, to negate that factor especially at such a high level is utterly game breaking).

Kennigit: i'm going to lock [Idra's fan club thread] until his temp ban is over or he streams again.
TL mods responding tit for tat.
On the upside, I'll get loads more work done in the next 2 days

What's the connection between a ban on these forums and then refusing to stream? Clearly it's posturing, but if Idra really cared about the front page exposure he gets on TL he probably wouldn't risk posting at all; this isn't an environment where you can actually say what you want like an adult. It's not like State of the Game. TL can run their site however they want but since they run it like they do, why does anyone care about this forum?

Crunchers game play chanced from standard cruncher play, and an apparent blind counter won him the game.
"watch my stream" comment.
ok.

Fubar... Idra is contributing, Cruncher tries to negate the contributing. Idra finds out and gets banned > Cruncher sucsess > Everyone is sadface

Mods created a big problem out of nothing, cruncher may or may not have cheated but idra didn't care and he posted saying we should just forget about it (and for the waste of life part i think he meant a "waste of time" as in a waste of his own life). It wasn't a big deal, it was drama and fun (this website doesn't need to be emotionless) and TL moderators think they need to step in and ruin it and cause problems.

Curious, how could a thread about a user be derailed by that user? The ban was due to IdrA calling CrunCher a waste of life - that was the reason stated.

Cruncher ghosts the stream, Idra calls him out on it, Idra gets banned...... ok.

Right and this is the backlash they get for not running it properly, having well mannered users is a privilege not a right.
