there are currently 108 b+ non-Koreans on the ICCUP ladder + many more players capable of reaching that rank that are inactive or other players playing under a Korean flag and many other players just shy of reaching B+. you throw money on the line and its IMPOSSIBLE that the top 48 is not at least B+. I say B+ 8800 points or so for #48 with 40 A- players

Hm i voted B+ but after thinking about it I have to go with A-, too.
With dodging good players and things like that there should be some more people that are able to get to A-. I guess they would stop playing then, but could get there.

only at A- you lose 140 points. So anyone can just stop playing at A-.

With TSL it was already B+. But at A- you lose more points so you can't get to A. You can just massgame to A-. Just find a group of B guys and all massgame vs each other. Stop when you get to A-. With each game played they will get more net points.

If you have like 25 guys that are all of similar level and they mass game vs each other, most of them will get to A- regardless of how bad they are. Of course there's a rule against playing vs each other too much. So it helps if you can just crush any player of B- or lower. But if you can you can mass game vs each other.

To get to A your opponents need to lose points. You can get 1 guy to A if you collect enough points at A- or B+. But then they will have to drop to B so the A- guy can get to A.

I think the top 16 will easily clear the A's.
Very likely the top 32 will make it as well.
I think even the final 4-6 slots will be on the high B+ end of things.

I'd be very excited if the leader cleared A+. I'd suspect only IdrA could do that, ret's ZvZ will keep him from being quite that high.

Idra couldn't quite hit A while he was laddering recently... he's probably not gonna make A+

It seems to me that if everyone were laddering solely against Koreans, we would see a bunch at the B+/A- barrier. But there's going to be a lot of inter-foreigner action, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a bunch of people at the A level.

To repeat one of my earlier posts, the difference between laddering only against Koreans and laddering against foreigners as well is what is going to keep ret and Idra off the #1 spot on the ladder.

Going to agree with low A- being the most likely cutoff point. As for #1, that really depends on the how much people like Ret or Idra care about getting #1, but I'd guess somewhere high A.

When there's tons of foreigners that have reached A- you only need to be an above average top foreigner to make A. It all depends on dodging progamers and about how many games total are played.
