squattincassanova was just temp banned for 2 days by Manifesto7. That account was created on 2011-07-14 06:03:44 and had 508 posts. detroph was just banned by Pholon. That account was created on 2012-01-27 01:05:48 and had 9 posts. Reason: Stop ban-dodging. It's only 5 more days, don't make us make it more than that. So this dude evaded a ban in order to make a thread in which he links an SC2 video that he claims he made himself, but really ceaRshaf made it, and proves it in the thread! Yeah, I'm with you. He made this thread before about another video, which he then sort of claimed as his own. I think he accidentally stumbled into the idea of getting praise for work you didn't actually do and so he went full steam ahead in a new thread. | ||

Yup This ^ Turns out the Mayans weren't actually predicting the end of the world in 2012, it was actually the end of esports.... I'm guessing we will see some entertaining bans out of that thread before it's over. Either way the elitists are swarming out of the woodwork. Esports is evolving, it's changing; I think we've always known that was going to need to happen for esports to gain wider acceptance. Doesn't mean it's going to kill SC2; I don't think anybody really knows what it means. | ||

I won't retell the entire tale of CharlieMurphy, but here's the long and short of it: Guy registers on TL, posts a lot, posts badly, gets banned (x10), kind of tries to improve, keeps posting badly, keeps getting banned, eventually gets permabanned after like 15-16 temp bans. I wasn't around when he was, so I obviously didn't experience this firsthand, but as far as I'm aware this is approximately correct. Users who have been around for a few years don't really just get perma-banned straight up, unless they have some previous mod history. In Charlie's case, he had a lot of it. | ||
