Another Roffles ban to start off the week, doesn't quite surprise me any more.

Bored as I am I went through the last 20 pages (sample size of 300 bans) of the automated ban list thread looking for some interesting (well...) stats. As it turns out the average amount of posts that people banned have is ~500, the median being around ~100 (damn you roffles). People with 0 and 1 post stand for almost 13 % of the posters banned with "1 post people" being the most common. About 90 % of all bans have less than 1000 posts. Not very surprising perhaps.

Dare I say it? That was the cleanest LR I've ever seen?
There was a single warning, with an interesting way of forcing it. Maybe its because there weren't many people in the LR today (46 pages in a GSL day?)

I was playing around with excel and though I could just as well do something "useful" while I was at it. I find useless statistic quite interesting.
I was considering seperating perma bans with shorter bans but I was too lazy and you'd need a larger sample size. I might do it if I get bored again hehe.

I hate to use such a tasteless analogy, but those 3 days were the equivalent of attacking a machine-gun defended trench line, but for rages.

It's an estimate, because I haven't totally counted them, but I would say that its about 120-130. MLG started in the wee hours of the morning on the 19th Korean time, and i think the first ban may have been this:
Nightrain was just temp banned for 2 days by p4NDemik.
That account was created on 2010-08-19 00:24:22 and had 448 posts.
Reason: Balance whining in LR thread.
That's on page 1029, and its now on 1040. Assume about 50-60% of those bans are from the LRs, its probably about 120-130

Anyone know how many bans from just the Leenock vs Naniwa series at MLG? The LR got so ugly during that series.

I want a TL mug! In fact, I think I am going to make one. Not that any one will ever see it and write a blog about 'Hey, person with the TL mug!' or anything, but I would really like one And perhaps a TL pillow case. And a baneling plushie. And perhaps a poster of the TL team (perhaps a collage of the backs of the TL players shirts like in the video) and lastly a zerg tattoo. I think that will suffice for now.

I think we are about to see some bans.
General forum confuses me. I would think the stuctured, detached format of an internet forum would allow people to approach issues calmly logically. But no, they end up getting even more emotional because they think people aren't paying attention. How do you explain to people that it doesn't matter what other people think about issues, unless the debate is academic in nature?

I was going to post that this post doesn't seem that bad, but then I looked at a few of his posts in other threads and realized how absolutely justified this ban is.
