That account was created on 2012-12-05 06:48:04 and had 20 posts. Reason: Not only have you faked a mod message, you've also made your own fanclub and gone on a spree of unfathomably shitty posting. Continue this once you get back and you're gone. edit: Plexa cares. =D

Seems like a topic that attracts bad posters/balance whiners Not surprising, people are pretty much allowed to balance whine in balance whine threads, it helps to keep the whining out of LR and strategy sections.

Are contentless posts like this reportable? Omg great writeup I don't actually like the idea of me going around reporting everything posts that might or might not be actual offenses, but on the other hand I was warned for writing 200 words which summed up to tl;dr Don't mind much of the bad or dumb posts, but posts like that get on my nerves.

I think that question is better for website feedback. However I my thoughts would be no. It might be "content less" but it is positive. Maybe if the person in question only have a lot of few word posts something would happen. But I don't think anyone would give a warning to such a positive response. (unless of course the "write up" in question happens to be balance whine or flaming or such)

It is an issue if it's all he does but that post alone isn't actionable. The more informative the report is the easier it is for us. The behavior itself is pretty rampant in community news and similar threads. "Best of luck in the future," kind of posts and the like, I would make the argument it is contextual. A little nudge to say, we expect a bit more content than you otherwise have been posting isn't the worst thing in the world.

The idea of "nice compliments" gets a little out of hand in a community of ten thousand people and most of the threads that announce something positive are completely useless because of that. But I now this is a cultrural thing - most of US-based forums are like that, for example CloudyNights, the world's big astronomy forum is completely flooded with affirmations every time someone posts a picture, whereas on our local astronomical forum, we strictly moderate such posts and encourage people to posts open criticism, becuase it helps others improve, and noone is surprised.

It's not about people saying something positive, it's about people not contributing. When your posting history looks something like this omg great writeup Who cares at this point Roflmao JYP gaint a lot of weight I think it's ok to question that. If positivity can excuse that, then I should try it maybe too. On the other hand I prefer posts with substance that one can actually discuss.

A bunch of horrible posters wrote nice things without any criticism because they don't any clue about sculpting but are appreciative of the effort. This site is in ruins. I would much rather have a poster who writes one line compliments and other short things like that than some mod-wanna-be narc who actually goes through the post histories of people to find something ban worthy.

Most of those aren't what opisska and Mataza are talking about. Every single post there is longer than six words. But if half of them were Nice job Congrats! Very nice! That might be ![]()
