It's a pity that the by far funniest thing that comes up on my name is in Czech, so noone is gonna appreciate it - and any attempt on translation would kill the spirit, moreover, half of the words on that page do not even exist. It's a rant about what a terrible kind of a person I am. And the same for several other people - one of them has actually gotten a court order to get it removed but there was a loophole (the court order was specific that it should be removed from a given URL, so it was just moved to another).
Anyway, the moral of the story is, that if you are an asshole like me, you may actually have fun googling yourself

Dirkzor is a boring search. The first hit is my TL blog and the 2nd my youtube channel - and I don't even upload anything.

Oops...and Farva's down. See you in a week bro.
farvacola was just temp banned for 1 week by KwarK.
That account was created on 2011-01-23 05:46:54 and had 3153 posts.
Reason: And the prize for "first to exploit the tragedy" goes to.... farvacola. Show some respect.
For this:
On December 15 2012 03:10 farvacola wrote: Don't worry, I expect the NRA and fellow gun folk will again loudly yell against anyone who even mentions the possibility that gun control laxity played a role in this amongst others acts of fatal violence. I do wonder how mainstay these sorts of shootings will have to become before public opinion starts to change. And before the requisite "You so stupid, how would taking away guns fix this?" pops up, it's not about "taking away guns", it's about making them more difficult to acquire, because the fact of the matter is that getting guns in the states is incredibly simple and far too easy. My thoughts go out to the families, this sucks.

Wow, I did not see that one coming... Shooting threads are usually free reign for this stuff.
Anyway, I hope they moderate that thread hard. We don't need a bunch of idiots exploiting such a horrible tragedy.
Edit: lol, I wrote that before I even saw Kwark's ban reason.
Edit2:
The gun control argument stops now. I know it's fun to argue about it in the heat of the tragedy when you can get all worked up about it but it's pretty disrespectful and if you don't care enough about the issue to make a separate topic for gun control then you don't care enough to shit on the tragedy by exploiting it. - KwarK
Wow again. This may just turn out to be the ultimate ban trap. Some people just can't help being self-righteous.

I don't understand, farva's reasoning was sound? It also didn't seem inappropriate in the slightest? What am I missing here >.<
E: ahh, new topic required to talk debate guns, as opposed to the tragedy. I kinda get it now, but was there even a mod note before farva's post?

Yeah, but the point is using this to argue a political point...facts are still unclear, news is still coming out.

We do still have an open gun control thread. and it was really instigative Its one thing to make a bad post for a line or 2 when your angry but to make a whole paragraph means that you thought it through and still thought it was an okay post.

Thanks KwarK for directing people to the appropriate thread.
Hopefully after all the bans it will become depoliticized.

By the way Kwark, you missed one! Someone called StealthBlue or something.

User was warned for this post. There's a whole thread for gun control debate separate from this one for that purpose That was not my point, it was the inconsistency. But never mind I got warned for mentioning it so I guess I'll just shut up. User was temp banned for this post.
1. Get warned. 2. Complain and get warned. 3. ???? 4. Complain and get banned.

Wow, I'm stunned by some of the posts in that thread. I can see the point they are trying to make, but seriously, there's a time and a place...
And then somebody did this;
On December 15 2012 04:01 s3rp wrote: So will someone now start doing something in the US to make it harder for questionable people if terrorists or mentally ill or whatever people to get guns ?
I doubt it because the US gunlobby seems incredbly strong but there's a shooting now every few weeks in the US it seems and something needs to be done soon...
Edit: just read the modmessage. I'm not making fun of anything or whatever. THis is a tragedy but something similar happens every few weeks now and nobody does anything about it. Ban me if you like but it's getting disturbing.
User was temp banned for this post. Just wow... politicising a mass shooting, the implication that nobody in the US does anything to stop such people getting guns, disregarding mode note, admitting that disregarding mod is intentional, and martyring!
I was very busy this week and it seems I missed a lot. Haxx got banned (and yup, that was a dumb post), TB got accidentally banned, farv got banned again...
I'm not convinced TB's ban was accidental, and I wasn't surprised when I saw his name on the ban list. He gets far too much stick at times but I agree with Jasper here, TB can over-react sometimes and be unnecessarily aggressive.

Bans like this really hurt my enjoynment of this thread. I am now torn in halfs whether should I open a Website Feedback thread requesting that KwarK stops doing it for this reason!
