Why? He is such a prominent figure of the forums for such a variety of reasons and has been here for so long that actually keeping him banned for a whopping two days is senseless. I'm sure it served a purpose, being stopping the argument and making sure other posters don't think they are eligible to take such liberties in their posting.

^as far as I can tell it wasn't anything specific, just that the mods noticed Req shitposting alot and it accumulated into a ban. The length is just for past history I think. Not that I complain about any of those bans, means that the thread is a lot slower with a lot less bullshit in it.

if they give out perms before a week, two week, 30-day or 90-day bans for a long term user, i would be surprised (and scared for my own posting habits, lol).

Well, I imagine that if a user is so complacent about his posting that he doesn't even realize his posting is awful, then it might be better to just cut to the chase and issue a (justified) ban. Maybe it's harsher than a warning, but it'll get the point across more effectively.

But yeah, usually a two-week ban or longer means that he user already has a history, or that the user posts a particularly bad post or something. Fine line, though, since if it's bad enough then it's just a straight perm.

obviously 'neggro' isn't racist. i'd say it's more likely a reference to 'negro' + 'nigger' (in which case it's edgy/racist/immature/etc) rather than a reference to the spanish word for black or something even more obscure / unlikely.
