I just wanna say Thanks to all the guys updating everything happening at those LANs almost instantly on Liquipedia.
You're really doing a great job.
Also all other things on liquipedia are great, the player pages are all really up to date and so on.
Deep respect to you guys and I feel like you deserve a thread like this where people can just thank you for your great work.

Totally agree. I tend to use the Liquipedia brackets when watching tourneys, because they are clear, simple, often updated, and always easy to find.

AGREE.

Liquipedia is the only site for tournament results. It makes it infinitely easier to follow tournament results during events with an easy-to-read format, up-to-date information and quick browsing between all events.

Thank you!!

<3. Had to go to class today, missing the semi's of MLG, and reading through the LR thread is such a hassle during MLG's. So many posts not saying anything about the game or being confusing as hell. One post says MC just threw the game away and the next says looks like MC's got this!

Good thing I can rely on Liquipedia.
As always such fast updates of results <3 Keep up the good work.

I love liquipedia :D
Not only the perfectly up to date brackets for lans, but just being able to easily find the answer to questions like how much gas does the medivac energy upgrade cost, or whats the exact attack on a collosi. :p
Also the mission guides are really helpful for when friends ask for help on the campaign. One link and i'm saved half an hour of trying to explain a step by ste walkthrough of a mission to them.

You TLPD guys deserve enormous recognition too. Keeping track of tournament results for players I would assume takes a ton of work considering how many tournaments go on every day. Great job ^^

I rate at which LP updates the brackets is absolutely awesome! Huge thanks to those who do that.

I would also (and especially) like to thank those who keep the internal cogwheels of LP turning, so to say. Editing LP itself is such a joy because the templates end up looking so good and they're easy to understand how to use. I do enjoy using good tools (well, tools as in well-written programs), and LP feels like such a good tool to use, so it feels really satisfying to just make a table. I'm even itching to make a bracket, not as much because the tournament itself is too interesting, but because I want to use that awesome bracket template which looks so good on everybody else's pages! That, I believe, deserve a great deal of recognition!

Indeed they deserve as much praise as possible!

I always prefer to see the Liquipedia brackets/results pages rather than the main tournaments ones (GSL/IEM/MLG to name a few)

Very well done! keep it up..please ♥

Yay

Liquipedia is usually my reference for any tournament (such as the recent MLG) and I'm constantly checking through to find stuff out. It often seems to be easier and more clear than the site of the actual event itself.

Also checking random stats on units that I forgot or want to learn is good.

You guys do an amazing job! :D

I'd like to be able to claim credit, but I think it was the brainchild of PoP or Chill or both. The project kinda died and I took up the reigns to get it moving. Despite this, I can't claim the credits for this. A whole bunch of Veterans added the initial information and the 'foundation members' (those with the Liquipedia globe as opposed to a puzzle piece) were veterans who contributed an exceptional amount. In particular, Aesop has done an amazing job leading the project!

Huge thanks to the innovators of Liquipedia and those who helped it get to where it is today. A lot of the newer editors have such an easier time due to those who developed LP during its infant stages. All those templates and format styles really make things easier. The Liquipedia staff members are incredible people, you know who you are

I know some people don't get enough credit for their work so some shoutouts: Bear4188, ChapatiyaqPTSM, DivinO, JBright, JohnnyBB85, Hainrich, Koorb, Mike-965, miwi, MtJoy, wren.
Thanks to you guys!

I apologize if I missed some people, there are way too many contributors that I can easily miss one or a few...

Also some mentions of newer contributors who have tested the waters and are getting things moving on a daily basis: AntiLegend, CaucasianAsian, Clow, FranzP, PhiLtheFisH, Shaetan, Vx70GTOJudgexv, w00tbeer1

I wonder how long the list of contributors is going to be for MLG Orlando 2011.

And last of all, keep contributing! It doesn't matter how small or big your contribution is, any contribution helps.

edit: more names as I just remembered some a minute or so later!

Liquipedia contributors, you guys are awesome. Now whenever I'm following a tournament, I keep its LP page open so that I can get up-to-the-minute results...so crucial with complex, multi-stream events like MLG.

Thank you! You make my life better.

You guys do some amazing things. I love being able to pull up a tournament page in progress and get results. It makes following one or more big tournaments at the same time so easy, and it's a lot easier than slogging through the LR threads trying to find results.

It actually amazes me that all the results are on there even when I couldn't find any threads about a tourney on TL.net. Or incomplete threads without results.

Thanks editors! You rock!

Liquipedia.
My home town loves it so much.
May it never die.

reading this thread warmed my nerd heart It felt like I just landed the perfect psi storm.

Keep up the good work everybody!

Also the portals for the tournaments are phenomenal as well. Much easier than having to sift through tons of pages for each tournament's website that I am unfamiliar with.

Liquipedia definitely seems like it's underappreciated. It has so much information and in a readable concise format (most league websites are awfully verbose/hard to find information).

Huge shoutout to the guys continually updating the MLG Orlando Open Bracket this weekend, I abused the shit out of that.

Liquipedia is amazing. I just recently discovered how awesome the tournament pages are, and was one of the people trying to make sure the mlg brackets were updated asap this weekend.

However, during the MKP vs IdrA serie, I got a 48 hours ban for being too vocal about Idra's loss on Shakuras in the live thread. That didn't really bother me as I deserved it, but then realised I couldn't log in on liquipedia anymore. Maybe temp bans like that should still allow the person to log on liquipedia? After all if someone goes berserk and decides to vandalize liquipedia as revenge for the ban, it can be simply ''undone''.

I work in a paint store on the weekends and I don't really have to do anything unless a customer comes in.
Often customers come in so its not like I do nothing all day, but, I was often interrupted while trying to watch MLG.
Whenever I was alone again and clicked back on that webrowser button, liquipedia was the first tab i clicked and f5'd.
Truly the best place to find information at that time.

This is so true. Anything from fixing a typo, to adding a little text to a player's biography, to making a tournament page from scratch, all of these things and everything in between (and beyond) is great ways of showing your appreciation to the work others have done before you.

To be honest, I am really annoyed by how long I had to wait for the updates on each MLG game. Sometimes it would take them quite a few seconds, before I could see the current scores.

Just kidding, you guys are freakin awesome, whoever you are. At each tournament I follow it on liquipedia too, just so I don't miss a thing. Keep up the good work.

It's sometimes easy to forget the TL isn't only the community, but also the resources that are made available to us, TLPD one of them.

Liquipedia and the threads are updated before most the tournaments update their own brackets and sites, and is done almost immediately after every GSL game in the morning. It is amazing. Thanks Liquid, great job as always.

oh my gosh, yes, I love the liquipedia guys (and gals? maybe?) I don't really get to watch very many live tournaments, but i love to keep up and note games I want to go back and watch later when I have time. Liquipedia lets me do that. I wouldn't get nearly as much entertainment out of SC2 without you guys. Thanks!

If I could make one tiny itsy bitsy suggestion, I would love some sort of updated mobile site, but it's not a big deal, the site works pretty well as is

Liquipedia is the ultimate source for information about StarCraft, the players, as well as all the tournaments which are being held. It is really a great site, one which I very much enjoy visiting often to check up on results and read the bio's of different pro players. We appreciate the hard work you guys are putting into Liquipedia, thanks a bunch!

I was trying to update those results 1 second after the game was over, but I would still get sniped by some eager liquipedian. All credit to them, with the new TL portals for bigger tournaments and the quality of liquipedia, I always have a LP bracket open in a tab, and just refresh when I want to know the newest results. There really is no need to check any other page for the information about the ongoing tournament.

I didn't know that you could see tournament result on liquidpedia. I usually go to someones fan club or the tread on SC2tourmanets to find out who won(if i miss the games).

I will definitely check it out next time!

Most tournament websites are so messy or complicated or slow or have a bad usability. But the Liquipedia's tournament pages are awesome. Everything necessary in one place (bracket, pool, players, price money). It's always up-to-date and everything is well-arranged!

I love it, thank you very much!!!

Almost all the bracket-layouts provided by various tournament websites are vastly inferior to the Liquipedia-Tournament Pages. They are smooth, easy, clean and very up to date.
