If its a personal thing that differ for each person i would write a blog about it. I wouldn't bump a thread from 2006 unless i made a really amazing joke.

I'm not going away until someone explains how Hot Threads works. Edit: Example of what I don't understand. Currently on the list is a thread about White-Ra getting married. The thread was locked last January and not posted in since. Occurrences like this have made me curious about how the page works. + Show Spoiler [image] +

Another explanation is that .. White-Ra is everywhere

It's based on recent views from what I can tell, sometimes old threads will get linked to on Reddit and then show up in Hot Threads.

dotarray writes with this snippet: "The largest scandal in e-sports history is currently unfolding in Korea, with revelations that a number of current pro gamers are involved with match setups and illegal betting. While the gamers are unnamed at this point, the story is said to touch many A-list StarCraft celebrities, including sAviOr, Ja Mae Yoon, one of the best-known and most successful players of all time."

Would it be possible to have a 'Discussion in Korean' forum section on TL (Similar to how Playdota has a 'Dota discussion in Chinese'-section)? It makes the atmosphere more dynamic in my humble opinion, and I'm sure there are enough Korean folks on TL to make it lively.

Makes moderation more difficult, so not at this point in time.

The only story similar to that which I'm aware of is this thread being linked in a chain email. Back when it happened, a thread with a million views was unheard of.

Yikes. How bad did it slow the site down?

Hmm. KwarK and Empyrean are two of the best posters on TL presently, in my eyes. Yet, despite this motherfucker being totally insane, you did post like balls, and reading some of your posts from around the same time frame suggests that you guys weren't the best posters around (though still hilarious). How do you two feel about your posting back then? Did becoming Banlings encourage better posting habits? Did the large influx of users due to SCII affect your posting habits, due to increased severity in moderation? Was it a natural maturity kinda thing? Or was it just that everyone posted that way?
I don't mean to disrespect either of you guys at all, but there is a marked difference in post quality from back then, compared to the present (especially since it wasn't all THAT long ago). Just curious as to what your thoughts were on this phenomenon.

I prefer Empyrean's post, myself. It perfectly encapsulated my thoughts while reading the OP.

Yeah. The only good thing about that thread besides the mockery is whatever the OP was smoking.
