I don't see past broadcasts, so I can't watch vods.
So aside from ideal conditions, what do you do when you're solo support and the offlaner can solo kill you easily, and none of your teammates can do anything early game.

or stack/farm jungles

I cant assume any example when the offlaner could kill any support solo easily expect from massive feed before the game even started. But when this case occures, try to gank on your own offlane since this will be the least expected move. After that you can try to rotate mid. If that also fails, buy a smoke an try middle.
If you are not capable of killing anyone on the map I suppose you picked the wrong support hero

i've been picking a lot of crystal maiden, because she forces me to practice positioning in fights. Slarks and bristlebacks solo kill me pretty easily, especially if I have a core with weak laning.

They get deleted by twitch due to new user policies - I can save em manually for a few days if you want top watch some.

Past broadcasts are only saved for 14 days I think, but you can make highlights up to 1 hour long that are saved forever.

Is there a general rule of thumb for second set of wards vs brown boots or magic stick? Whatever i think has more game impact?
Also what are your favorite warding spots at the start of the game? I tend to put one on the radiant ancient spot for sight of the sideway and the rune, but a pure mid-ward that gives sight of the opposite cliff helps the lane a lot and can counter some smoke tp ganks. I just get the feeling that having vision of the close rune makes gives lots of security especially when you are radiant and a jungler or support goes for the rune.
The other one is usually reserved for the offlane either for camp block or vision.
