Played with a Naix just now. I was furion and planned on jungling, our picks were kinda fucked up. We had Lina mid, Sven/Riki top and Naix bot as scourge, pretty shitty lanes. Naix then starts bitching about his lane and goes to jungle, so I teleport in to bottom to lane against Silencer + Tinker. Problem is, I'm already a bit underleveled from a bad start in the jungle so the two heroes in the lane are basically the same level as me. At least they auto attacked so I could tower hug and take a few last hits, but then the first night came and the enemy NS came and easily ganked me.
And naix? This fucker farms the jungle the entire game, almost never contributes to team fights, and yet 40 minutes later still somehow only has Vanguard, Treads and Armlet. He has lower gold/min than everyone else on our team, on par or even lower than our Sven and Lina (friends who are relatively new to the game and are playing support). Credit where it's due though, this guy is absolutely hilarious. Near the end of the game we are losing bad and he says, "This is the noobiest team I've ever been on, and I'm a noob."
Nothing like bad players thinking they are good and blaming their team

^^ Did you check his gold? When I started playing, I had no idea you could buy individual parts and combine it. So he was possibly buying items whole, and that consequently made him farm slower.

now if this happened in dota1 i dont give a damn, because randomers are random, bad luck is bad luck, i win most games anyway because there is always 1/2 noobs in both team. but dota2 mm is not like that. its matching ability is so bad that i cant remember the last time i played a 5v5 game with even skill players. i always feel like we are 3v5 the oppo team with no noobs but we do (or rarely is the other way around). and then my games are 'high skill' according to the filter. i feel like i am supposed to carry the team at times but wtf should i pick when i see 3 carries in team already??! funniest thing is these baddies flame regardless how much you do for them. you ward and they see the gank coming and still die rofl. i wish i can look at the amount of wards i bought from all my games compare that to average player, i bet it will be at least 3 times than normal people.
and some pros like sing2 stream confirmed how broken the mm is.
i dont like the design of alot heroes and i dont think i am the only one (alot friends still play dota1), plus this shitty mm, i seriously still dont think i will fully jump ship if they dont fix it.

1) Why does everyone think that skillshots have to hit 100% of the time? I mean, they can be dodged, so unless the enemies are constantly immobilized or retarded you're bound to miss. Mirana's arrow hitting across 2 screens is in best of compilations for a reason.
2) Fuck people with no map awareness. If I'm mid and ping like crazy, write that my lane opponent is coming to a specific lane with a rune like invis or dd...why the hell am I getting raged at if those idiots get killed? And how is 15 seconds before he arrives at the lane a "late ss noob mid"?

Well when you have 2 SKs, it helps a lot to know that 1 is referred to as cryx and the other as SK. Other than that I think people usually just call heroes by their normal abbreviated names.

Well, just taking a quick look at the current heroes, I use a lot of Akasha, Potm, Furion, Leoric, Naix, Balanar, Barathum, Magina, Sylla, Gondar, Rhasta and Atropos instead of the current Dota 2 names. Some of them almost exclusively. It's definatelly not something that happens rarely or just when the initials are the same. Some names like Lifestealer, Prophet or Shadow Shaman actually feel foreign to me. I'll also keep saying lothars/buriza for quite some time.
There's no easy way to fix it, it's just about getting used to the multiple names, but with time I believe more people will start using the Dota 2 names.

It's not stupid, it's just natural. You are not really thinking too much about it, in a quick reaction time you just say whatever you are used to. For some people there is only one SK and one Leoric, or Crix and SK. Personally, Soul Keeper also feels really weird, it's always Terrorblade/TB.
