Please remember that while this thread is for QQ and venting about the game, racism is not tolerated here on LD. |
Sometimes you secure the bounty rune for ur mid and he alt-tabs and doesn't take it and their offlaner snipes it Sometimes you then secure the lane for that mid, preventing the enemy mid from hitting a creep for 3 minutes (so long because he DIDN"T SKILL NECROMASTERY so he had no souls for fucking forever) Sometimes u continue roaming and come back to the perfect gank for that mid only to discover that as soon as u initiate he goes literally afk (tabbed under tower) and u die Sometimes you go on tilt Sometimes that sf mid shithead goes 25-3 or some shit and u win easily This is one of those times and I'm still mad after sleeping on it

ive only had one game where someone kept alt tabbing to change their music. naturally they were also the most outspoken when it came to pointing out other people's mistakes

So after a long time i decided to try something different to improve my MMR. I've noticed that i am 90% with positive KDAs even when i lose and when i play support/initiation roles, but i still fail to climb the latter in the long run. So i decided to go through my dotabuff and choose up to 5 heroes from each role based on my performance and game impact annd some others to use on specific scenarios.
I am hoping i can slowly climb it a little with no rush, but i only play like 2-3 games per day and i dislike spamming the same heroes over and over.
If that plan fails i guess i will have to make a new account to try to calibrate in a better range because it is frustrating to play feeling like i am not enjoying games as much as i should because of some terrible teammates.
I know i am not a great player but i still feel like i should be between 500 or 1000 better than my MMR suggests. I am at 2700 currently and i feel like i am a lot better than i was when i calibrated.
Thougts?

Going up 500 mmr will most likely not make games any less frustrating. Besides, if you are truly 500 mmr better then your current mmr, it will be faster to just grind that mmr on your current account. 100 games with a 60% winrate (not that hard to achive if you are indeed better) is like 40 (?) less games then making a new account and you also get to use all your precious hats.

Thoughts are that 1) kda isn't a meaningful stat. everybody on earth has positive kda over their career. If you mean strictly Kills/Deaths (kdr) then what I find is that when we lose while I have a positive KDR it's usually because I didn't make enough stuff happen or wasn't impactful enough. Dodging bad fights etc is great but it's not hard to lose at 10-1 if you don't take objectives or seriously impede the enemy's farm etc, especially if your team is having a rough time. 2) 5 heroes per role is way too many to learn any of them well enough for your deep understanding of that hero to be an advantage. 3) I'm sure the QQ thread isn't the place to get feedback on self-improvement plans haha

Well i appreciate the input anyway.
But i dont know i like playing a bunch of heroes... Feels kinda boring to play the same heroes over and over. KDR is indeed the correct term to what i was trying to say.

You might be right, that is the reason why i am trying to streamline my winrate to go up a bit, hopefully i will have some sucess in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for the advice.

playing wyvern with 4 cores. no i cant cold embrace everyone, maybe if one of u also picked a support, this game would be easier

Can I QQ about getting ladder anxiety and not playing because i'm too close to the goal i set 1 month ago and I dont want to lose and get fucked and tilt and lose more?
Fuck fuck fuck.

My Ursa is trying to argue it's not feeding as long as he lives ten seconds after he tp's back to lane. If he dies after ten seconds he's just offlaning! He was 0-6-0 at five minute mark. VERY HIGH SKILL bracket folks!

every time i die to oracle's E i die a little inside

Why do people pick AM, it's like the most selfish and douchy thing a person can do. The game will always be 4v5 and the outcome of the game will in 98% of the games be decided without AM's presence. Like if I knew someone was gonna pick AM in my team I would always dodge if I could, regardless of other picks in the match. The hero is just not worth the hazzle it takes to get it farmed.

Fuck every single dota core player!
Fuck you, stop feeding lanes you should win handily.

Fuck you, stop feeding lanes you should win handily. I second this statement. And fuck cores for not getting BKBs when against invoker, SB and venomancer. There is no amount of support anyone can provide that can save them from not buying the critical items to not being locked down and bleeding forever.

Ok so I know going Blademail + Blink was the hotness on Wraith King a while ago, but it makes your hero hit like a kitten! If you then go BKB afterwards sure you're hard to kill, but you deal no dmg!
So sad to see the opposing Ember and Slark rip through our team while are WK is tickling them

My mid's over last 2 games, 3-13-1 mid nightstalker, 2-8-2 ember spirit. I was an offlane juggernaut. My safelane axe was 0-5-0 at the 8 minute mark and accused me of afk farming when he needed help 1 v 1 vs the slardar. I was 6-1-2 at 8 minutes. He had a fucked up definition of afk farming.
|
I'm gonna qq for the other teams dude now, he first or second pick ta. Our team then picks ember, jakiro, venomancer, earth spirit and viper. Game could not have been fun.

Win a game, feeling good, yay. Let's play a game as a support, why not. Team - insta lock mid, safelane carry, offlane, jungle. Cool, good thing I'm going support.
And then jungle sniper happens. Game was hard. Wow. Cliff jungling sniper with a quelling blade. Dear lord.
Alright, let's go back and play a game as carry or something. Then mid huskar happens. 0-4-0 in 6 minutes. Enemy SF shows up in my safe lane at 8.5 minutes level 11, 6-1 with a fucking shadowblade treads. Insta blows me up with ult. Lane lost. SF snowballs to victory. 11 minute shadowblade treads BoTs. 17 minute shadowblade treads BoTs daedalus. How do you even play against that lol.

Sometimes I think it would be easier to play 4v5 than 5v5. I don't think I've ever lost a game where 1 person on my team abandons. I also probably haven't won a game where the enemy team has one abandoner.
