Hello there,
In most steamgames you can regulate your mouse sensitivity with your console using the command "sensitivity". So using 400dpi with "sensitivity 2" and 800dpi with "sensitivity 1" basicly results in the same mousespeed. On a technical basis i wanted to ask if theres a difference between those two.
Regards Chris

Hi there, here on tl is a quite active cs:go thread. To your question: Most people tend to prefer lower dpi in cs go. I hope this answer is technical enough! ;D
Visit it, it's cool there! And the people there really know what they are talking about!
I suppose you are talking about cs?!

Unless the mouse sensor has a flaw at a given DPI there should be no difference if you set the multiplier to obtain the same "real" sensitivity at two different DPI settings. And most modern mice should work perfectly at both 400 and 800. Now you may want to use 400 depending on what resolution you use in game to have a decent mouse speed in menus and if you buy with the mouse and such, but it's not really important

I think there's maybe slight differences, but nothing super important
