Vsync is bad for input lag and can create stutter problems like this in some cases

^may give you a big FPS boost (like adding 100+fps) if you have frame capping disabled. If it increases your FPS without a cap, it means frames are getting rendered in less time anyway, so capped FPS would be more stable too - i don't know why you would want to FPS cap on a desktop, though, given some negative effects

4770 should laugh at playing league, i have like 400fps start of game with 4770k and never consciously observed it below 100 even though i have two FPS meters on the game (if it does drop, it's during 5v5 teamfights etc where my focus is elsewhere)
