Razer Deathadder 3500 stops working randomly

Hey guys.

Since I had a new motherboard installed on my laptop I have had a problem where my mouse stops functioning.

The light on the scroll wheel stays on but the Razer symbol with the light stops working, and the cursor does not move.

I have Updated my Usb Drivers and installed Razer Synapse which keeps my mouse updated.

Do you guys have any ideas what the problem could be?

System Specs

Model - Dell XPS L702x
Intel I7 2630QM
6 Gig Ram
Nvidia Gt555m
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

I am not too sure which motherboard I have, but any help is appreciated.

It has stopped working during writing this post, and as you can imagine it is really frustrating as i have to keep restarting my computer to get my mouse to work.

Look, I had the exact same problem long time a go with my Deathadder, I tried everything to fix it and I gave up. Months passed and a cousin whos pretty good with electronics and shit comes to visit me, I told him about the problem and the only thing he does is open the mouse and clean the dust in it (he disconnected all the cables inside and reconnected them), The mouse has been working perfectly since then (9 or 10 months ago).

I think it was some cable which was badly connected or the dust creating interference, if not, my cousin is an angel (he has always fixed the problems in my house and stuff so I guess he has blessed hands or some crazy shit)

I was dreading that, I dont feel comfortable taking it apart! I guess il put up with it for a while until I find someone to have a go at it for me.

It's not too hard to take a mouse apart and put it back together, just make sure to have a very clean work area so you can find small parts, and take photos at each step of disassembly if you're at all worried about putting it back together right. Just make sure to buy some replacement mouse feet, because the screws are under some of them.

Here's a video, you don't have to take it all the way apart, just far enough to find and fix the problem.

Yeah i have this very occassionally like once every couple of weeks. When it happens the usb unplug sound appears and the light emanation from my deathadder flickers a couple of time. Sometimes even my keyboard won't work for a minute or so when this happens. I think it has to do with razer synapse, the biggest piece of shit i've ever seen.

That sounds more like metal fatigue in the cable, probably where it enters the mouse. You can fix it with a replacement cable, or with a soldering iron.

I had this problem on my DA too, on 2 PCs ( both win7 x64 ). Since I uninstalled synapse it was working just fine for many months.
Also I had similar problem with original Mamba before ( in wired mode, lights was on, but it didn't worked at all ), there wasnt synapse by that time, but culprit was it's drivers as well.

Edit:
My friend also had problems with Blackwidow. Uninstalling drivers fixed all problems for him too.

I'd uninstall synapse and get an older version of a deathadder driver /software.
