OK this was because I'm on a laptop, with an integrated Intel video card, as well as a dedicated nvidia one. I had to go into the nvidia control panel and set whatever application I was recording to use the integrated card. Either that or set OBS to use the integrated card. I did not do this via OBS settings, I did this in the nvidia control panel.

Ah okay, in the meantime I just rolled back to 0.522b of OBS and it works again. I'm not sure which version I had before updating, so I just picked one. I'm at work right now but does anyone know which version of OBS introduced this issue?

The issue exists in all versions, using multiple applications with hooks risks crashing and performance problems. Later versions of OBS detect the issue and warn you about it, older versions do not. You need to figure out how to setup EVGA Precision so it doesn't hook OBS, ignoring the issue won't make it go away. It may run fine for a while but basically you have two apps trying to write different code to the same place which is a disaster waiting to happen.

Whenever I stream, there is this background air sound that always plays back. It's like putting my mic boost to 30 and you hear that sound. Except even when it is off, even OBS records that same kind of sound.
Is it because Steelseries Siberia V2 sucks or?

Well, I don't know how to prevent EVGA Precision from hooking onto OBS. I went into the RivaTuner Statistics Server thing and added OBS.exe to the list, and then clicked "Application detection: None" (Or something along those lines) but to no avail.
After some googling I guess the solution is to either close EVGA Precision and use OBS, or just not stream at all? Am I correct in that? I haven't found any forum posts that explicitly state a working solution.

You could uninstall statistics server. I did it recently for MSI Afterburner, not sure how it got on my system in the first place. It added a few sensors, but not much and it was quite intrusive and annoying

Hmm, I actually like monitoring my video card though (FPS, temps, usage, etc..). MSI Afterburner (if I recall correctly) is based off of RivaTuner, so that's probably how/why you had the statistics server on your machine. Whenever my game is performing poorly, I look at the graphs that the tool provides, so uninstalling it would make me a sad panda. =(

It is indeed - The statistics server is a separate entity tied into rivatuner though, it's not needed for MSI AB or EVGA precision to operate. Almost all of the function is completely intact with it gone, or i wouldn't have suggested it

Thanks again, I still get a little bit of click lag, but it's manageable. I think my internet up speed is only 1 Mbps, it's supposed to be increasing to 10 soon.

It might be possible with one monitor, but I think the background window might not update? We're assuming you don't have a second monitor because it's definitely possible with two.
If you want to give it a try, make sure Windows Aero is enabled, use Window Capture to capture your browser and set the sub-region where the song info is displayed. I'm pretty sure you can't minimize the window either, just leave it up and tab back to your game so it's running up in the background. See if that works???

Thanks for your answer. However, I've been running Windows Classic theme since forever so enabling is kinda a deal breaker. I tried exactly this without Windows Aero and it just shows the Starcraft window :s.

Yep. If you don't enable Aero, Window Capture will just capture whatever is on top. Enabling Aero allows you to capture the contents of a window even if it's hidden behind other windows.
