Whenever StarCraft II is the primary window, it will automatically switch to your "SC2" scene which should already have the game capture source setup for SC2. When it doesn't recognize any active window titles (i.e. when you minimize), it will switch to your "ETC" scene, which could be a picture or a Monitor Capture source for your desktop, etc. If you want to add more games, just create a separate scene for each game (e.g. Dota2) and add a game capture source for that game. Then, just add the scene and appropriate window title in the plugin and it will automatically switch to the appropriate scene when you play any of your specified games. (Note: just make sure you put the plugins in the right folders: 32-bit goes into Program Files\OBS\plugins, 64-bit goes into Program Files\OBS\64bit\plugins. It will be listed as "OBS Scene switcher" in your Plugins button in OBS.) | ||

Also, can someone summarise for me (because I'm noob), what effect bitrate has on the picture clarity, and cpu usage? I've got about 10mbit upload so I can go quite high on bitrate. I'm running on an Intel i5 3210M @ 2.50Ghz. My base resolution is 1366*768 and I've downscaled it to 1092x614 with Lanczos filter and 30fps. http://www.twitch.tv/ahswtini/b/468451040 The pause at ~10s was because I tabbed out. | ||

Bitrate affects picture quality (higher bitrate = higher quality) and has no effect on CPU usage. Twitch doesn't like when you go over 3500-4000kbps, so consider that a soft cap. If you're only playing games like Hearthstone (minimal motion/change in the scene), then there's really no need to use a high bitrate. If you use a high bitrate you may exceed some viewers' download speeds and they won't be able to watch your stream without lagging. Also, you probably don't need to downscale the resolution for Hearthstone, but I'm not sure how much power a mobile i5 really has to offer. Text would be sharper if you didn't downscale (not that your stream looks bad, just small improvements :D). For other, more demanding games, you will most likely need to downscale. | ||

I'm going to stream a fair bit of Dota as well, and obviously don't want it to impact my game performance too much. However, current settings are fine. I'll up my bitrate from 1700 to 2300kbps. Thanks for the info1 | ||

I assume if PTT was used it would only pick up when activated. No chance the sounds were from your conversation (either whoever you were talking to was clicking or their mic picked up your output?) | ||

Quite hard to stream with 0.5mbit up, you'd have to use like 300kbit video and 64-96kbit for audio, and probably a low resolution and FPS to make it look at all decent | ||
