Teamviewer on USB Drive/Pen drive

I have found out that if you install teamviewer on your usb/pen drive that you can access your computer from home. What I am wondering is if this is detected by the servers in the college or is it independently run through the usb drive/Pen drive through the computer. What I am trying to say is, does the servers in college realise that theres an outside source that has access to the computers. Seeing as they are all connected up on the same internet connection/server database. I am worried because if it is detectable, it could look like a hacking attempt or something and could result in expulsion. When in fact all I want is to be able to read the TL forums and watch streams through my computer . Thanks for reading and if this is in the wrong section. Please move!

Destriel 41 Posts October 01 2012 00:35 GMT #2 ask your i.t. people if this is acceptable, or read your terms of usage. yes its detectable, provided the traffic is flowing through your college there is potential for them to see it. but i honestly cant see them being too worried about you using teamviewer to access a computer you own. again tho, just ask.
