So I've noticed whenever I leave my comp on idle for ahwile I start to get crazy memory leaks from nvtray.exe.

I think the highest I've seen it go is take up around 4gb of memory.
I've updated the graphics drivers, checked for malware, viruses, spyware and everything but nothing came up. Anyone have an idea on how I can fix this?
Here are my laptop specs:

CPU Intel Core i5 3320M @ 2.60GHz Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology
RAM 8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28)
Motherboard LENOVO 235325B (CPU Socket - U3E1)

Is there any particular reason you need to use nvtray in the first place? The easiest solution may be to just get rid of it.

have you tried rolling back your drivers?

Close it. See if anything bad happens. If not, go search for msconfig and change your start up profile so that executable won't load when you start. It just appears to be a system tray shortcut for nVidia settings, which can also be found by right clicking on your desktop.

You can close it, its not nessicary for anything.

Yeah I've closed it and everything seems to be fine, but every time I leave my comp on and let it idle it for a few minutes, it seems to start up on its own and start leaking again. I'm not 100% sure if it starts because of idling so I'll come back later and check if it does start up again.
