Title sums it up, but let me give the details.
I recently bought a Steelseries 6GV2 Black and I absolutely love the feel of typing on it, except for one thing, and this is kind of an issue. The spacebar, shift, backspace, and any key that is wider than a normal key is way too stiff. It doesn't feel that great, but more importantly I find myself losing my control groups in SC2 (or overwriting them rather) quite often. This happens any time I try and hold shift to add units to my selection, and then rebind the control group. However, I find that I'm either releasing the pressure on the shift too quickly and my timing is off, or I'm just not pressing it down far enough in the first place, and when I rebind the additional units I end up only hotkeying the new units, and losing the previous control group (because I wasn't actually holding shift while selecting).
Has anyone else encountered this problem, and can you offer any advice? i.e. - is there a fix to this to make them softer? is this just something you eventually get used to? its been two weeks or are there drills you can do to make sure you SLAM that fucking shift key.. lol
It really is just the shift key, the spacebar isn't so bad, but damn this shift key is stiff. Any tips/tricks/advice are welcome.

The only real solution I can think of is to make sure the stabilizers for the bigger keys are properly lubricated. Otherwise, it's something that you really just gotta get used to. After all, blacks are the stiffest MX switch that requires the most typing force, which means that it generally takes longer to get used to out of all the other available switches. But IMO if you're having so much trouble adjusting to the keyboard, maybe the black switches don't fit you as well as you think.

You probably should post this in the main mechanical keyboard thread.
But as someone said, its just how the stabilisers on 6gv2s work and blacks are stiff. Though I had a think about it, and maybe if you added more weight to the shift key it would help solve this problem?
Try attaching someting a little bit heavy (only needs to be a few grams) on the underside of the key, of course you would have to make sure this didn't get in the way of anything.

Thanks guys. Yea I know the blacks are the stiffest keys, but they should all require the same force. I just feel like the regular keys aren't as hard to press as the shift. It also could be because my left pinky isn't use to working so hard... I injured it many years ago (100% dislocation, lots of tendon damage, lots of cartilage now) and it might just be having a hard time adjusting to the force. I'll think about adding weight to it, that's a great idea.

Personal anecdote:
My shift and spacebar keys were extremely stiff (Rosewill) but after a good month of use they perform exactly like the other keys.
Edit- maybe it was more like 2 months, either way, I would give it some time. That Steelseries board is really nice.
