Hi TL,
So I basically bought a computer last week and everything was going well. Mainly played SC2 on it most of the days. Everything was going extremely smooth till today. All of the sudden my command move (right click) is being delayed by a second. This is getting very annoying. I checked SC2 settings on two different accounts and both had the same issues. I am pretty positive it isn't my SC2 but something else. The thing is that nothing else is delaying when I right click and it dosn't make sense. Tried looking at my deathadder drivers and nothing would explain this outcome.
Any help would be appreciated.

This sounds like an internet issue I think. Are you having slow internet in anything else? Are you saying the time it takes for a unit to respond to your command is an extra second?
|
Yes today is the only day I have had problems like this and everything else is fine, it's just my mouse movement that is being delayed
|
|
don't play any other games that much, I'll try lol though
|
lol is fine it is just sc2
|
That's strange. The only thing I can think of that would cause the issue is internet latency issues, but if other games work that shouldn't be it. Then again, I am by no means the smartest person on these forums, I just pick up tidbits now and again. I guess you could connect to a wired port if you aren't, and see if that helps. It might just be a one time thing though, I dunno. Someone smarter than me might be able to help out.

Have you tried reinstalling SC2? Since its not on LoL or anything else just a reinstall should do it. Annoying, but probably necessary.
|
You should try installing mouse drivers or using the "reduce mouse lag" option, but sc2 is weird and lags out movement, if you are used to iccup/fish p2p "lan" latency.
|
Also uncheck Vsync if it is checked. Honestly this is where you just have to play cowboy with the settings. Also check drivers to make srue you arent forcing anything on the game.

thanks for the input guys! I'll give this advice a shot

Did you ever fix it? I have the exact same problem

Im having the same problem after HoTs, and also when I make units there's a delay that is very annoying when I macro

When you guys right click, is the animation of the cursor responsive or delayed? Or is the movement of the actual unit delayed but not the animation? If the latter, then it's latency issues. If it's the former, it's probably a mouse issue.

I am now also experiencing issues that look like high latency in both vs AI and vs opponents. This only started showing up after HoTs and was not present in WoL.
Traceroutes to us.battle.net do not show high ping, 25-30ms. Our home network is also running business class Comcast and logs show that it is well under the bandwidth maximum while playing. On the hardware side of things, FPS remain constant with "Reduce mouse [whatever]" checked.
I've tried to diagnose this problem but have found nothing yet.

I have the same issue. Its really annoying to micro marines when you cant even fast split. This is a huge problem, need to get it fixed somehow. Its not my internet as I have Telia 100mbit and I never had the problem in WoL (tracert shows no hops either) . I have a Zowie Mico mouse, while OP has Razer so it´s not the mouse either. Sigh.

Hello, i recently noticed i got same issue. I got 0,5-1 second delay before commands are executed. Looks like internet lag but when i ping google i got 50-60ms. Its only affecting SC2. Does anybody got a solution?

Annoying no fix yet

Not enough info to tell you how to fix it. Multiple of you are having issues right? What all are you using for peripheals, and what cpu do you have?
Ive seen multiple people have delay issues related to how their cpu functions with sc2 since HOTS came out, which can sometimes cause issues that look like latency delays at times?
It may also be something tied to mouse/driver if so many are experiencing it.
