I've noticed a lot of people posting very vague or limited computer specs in the tech support forums and it's much more helpful for people trying to troubleshoot your problem to have detailed specs. So here is a tutorial for using dxdiag. This is on Windows 7 but it is basically the same for most versions of Windows.


To open dxdiag open your start menu and click run it should be just above the shut down button.


Type in dxdiag and click OK.


Now you should have the dxdiag window open (if you haven't run this before then you won't have the fields filled in) and run the diagnostic.
