I recently bought a Samsung Series 7 Chronos 15 inch laptop and it's overall really good. The only issue I have with it is the touchpad. The touchpad is one of those big ones with no buttons like the macbook pro, and can be pressed down to left click. It has the setting where tapping it simulates a left click as well. When I type, my palms will accidentally hit the touchpad and cause the cursor to click, messing up whatever I was typing. I tried to fix this by disabling the 'tap to click' option in the touchpad settings, however when I did that it also disabled the two-finger tap that simulates a middle-click which I use very often. The two-finger tap for middle click has its own option, so I don't know why disabling one will disable both. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

This is the setting that is giving me trouble. I can disable it, and the accidental clicks while typing is solved, but it won't let me two-finger tap to middle click. I'd like to disable that while still being able to two-finger tap to middle click.

hi,
most laptops do have a button for enable/disable the touchpad. it might be hidden, generally "Fn" + "something".

Yeah, but sometimes I don't want to disable the touchpad completely, just keep it from accidentally triggering when my palms brush against it while typing. It's not a huge deal, it's just a minor annoyance.

I just did a full reset with my samsung NP 700 Z5A-S04-SE, but cannot access the menu on the image above. I could before the update...any ideas?

A solution is to use TouchFreeze, which automatically deactivates the trackpad while typing and reactivates it when you are using the trackpad if that makes sense.

Palm rejection is already within the software/hardware, all of these PC trackpads are god awful.
