Specs:
Windows 7 64, Black Widow Ultimate
Problem: My BlackWidow Ultimate's function keys no longer respond. I believe the Fn key, which is used to access secondary functions such as volume up/down on the F keys, works. I think this because I can still use the Fn key in combination with F11 to turn on game mode, and F12 for the key brightness. These functions effect the keyboard alone so I think it's a problem between the keyboard and OS. What is not working is the volume functions, and media controls (Stop/Play etc). When I'm in winamp trying to set a hotkey to play or stop a song, I can press the F5 key with out Fn and see it show up as F5. When I press Fn as well as F5 this should be pause/play, as it always has been, but nothing shows up. It used to show up as Play/Pause if I were to do this. As far as I can tell, windows seems to ignore that I'm pressing it.
So basically I know that both the Fn key, and the F keys work, and that the problem lies in the secondary functions of the F keys.
What I have tried: I have the most up to date firmware for the keyboard, and most up to date drivers. I have done a driver repair, which did not work. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. I did restart the computer after each in/uninstalltion. I don't have any macros of any kind set, nor have I ever changed any settings for the keyboard. I also made sure to try and default any settings that could be changed in configuration tool just to be safe. I tried finding a solution for this specific problem as well as Fn key issues similar to mine. I was unable to come up with a solution using google. I wasn't even able to find someone have this specific problem. Razer does not have a support forum, at least not that I was able to find.
Has anyone experienced an issue similar to this with the Blackwidow, or function keys on any OS/Keyboard? I don't have much hope for a solution because I couldn't find any one else with this problem. I could just be terrible at Google but I'm pretty sure I exhausted all logical keyword combinations.
