I have been experiencing disconnects in both SC2 and LoL for some time now and it's been annoying me.
I'll start with what happens in Starcraft 2 - it starts disconnecting me after 1-2 games played. By disconnecting I mean the "You have been disconnected from Battle.net" pop-up or the "Achievements service has been restored" one. The worst part is that it takes some time for me to understand that there is a problem with the connecting - after I finish a game and click the "Find game" button to play another one it shows that I am in a queue and it starts searching for an opponent, at least that's what I think. After 30-40 seconds I know that there is a problem and I click on "Cancel" to get out of the queue but nothing happens - it freezes on the "Canceling queue" message. I then have to either restart SC2 (sometimes only a simple log out -> log in works) or wait until B.net tells me that I have been disconnected so that it reconnects me. Sometimes even after a reconnection it doesn't work and the only way to "fix" it is to restart SC2.
Now about LoL - the problem here is more easily noticed. Sometimes I can't even get into a game, unlike SC2 where I know I can play at least one game before it starts disconnecting. When I queue up it starts searching for a game and that's it - nothing happens, just like in SC2. If I hit the "X" button to cancel the queue it does exactly what SC2 does - it freezes on the "Canceling queue" message. The problem is that it never reconnects me and I have to restart LoL. When I queue up with friends most of the time they get a "Join game" message while my client says that it is still searching for a game. My client also often crashes with a "Connection timeout" error. An easy way to see if my client has disconnected is to click on the "Chat" tab and if I see (0) people in all of the channels, then I know that I have been disconnected, but the client has just not shown an error yet.
Now, I did some digging around and found this about LoL - opening ports 80, 443, 2099, 5000 ~ 5500, 8393 ~ 8400, 5222 ~ 5223 and 32500 might help me. I did it but I still get disconnected.
I remember reading in one of SC2's patch notes that Blizzard had fixed this problem, but I guess my problem isn't the same or that Blizzard haven't repaired the problem correctly. Also, from time to time my skype goes into the "Connecting" state where it's icon becomes gray and it starts rotating, but all my contacts show up as online.
