I was on my computer when I turned my chair and knocked over the tower onto it's side. It slammed to the ground and froze. After repeated attempts to turn on my computer, nothing is displayed on my monitor.
The computer does turn on. The fan on the cpu, graphics card fan, and the red fan in the picture all turn on. The hard drive is also on because it is warm and spinning. However, nothing is getting sent to my monitor and the monitor doesn't display anything. In addition, the motherboard has 2 red lights that pop on, 1 in the top left of the picture, and one in the bottom right of the picture.
I've opened up my computer and tried to look for loose cables, but I think all the essentials are plugged in. There are a few loose cables, but I couldn't find any obvious places to put them and I don't think they were plugged in before.
Here is a picture of the inside. Let me know if pictures of specific areas are needed and I can upload those.
First thing to do would be to reseat all the components such as the graphics card and memory. It also wouldn't hurt to unplug all the power connectors and replug them in (6pin PCIe connector, 24pin, 8pin).
I reseated the ram and the GPU, but no luck. There is a 2 pin connector(It has 2 individual slots for 2 pins to plug into) from the GPU that isn't plugged into anything(XFX9800 GT). Is this supposed to be plugged in somewhere? You can see it in the bottom left of the picture, thin grey cord.
Are you referring to the gold finger? That's the SLI connector which does not need to be touched unless you are doing SLI (which you aren't).
The 2pin connector on the 9800gt is for audio which also doesn't need to be connected unless you want to use HDMI.
If the computer stays on and you just get no display on the screen, the most likely problem is that there is something wrong with the GPU or the connection between it and the monitor. Do you have another card to try? Have you tried re-tightening the DVI plug?

Sadly, I don't have any other desktops or video cards to try. I'm using an adapter for the DVI plug because it doesn't fit into the back of the machine, but everything is ridiculously tight and it still doesn't work.
If I can't figure it out tonight I'm just gonna take it by office depot to see if they can fix it.
Pull your Gcard and make sure you didnt break the circuit board. Its possible it could of rocked over to the side and broke the tab a bit. Be really careful.
