I often have to take them off for atleast 5-10 minutes and even then the pain comes back after about 10-20 minutes. I don't really want to buy another headset seeing as this one cost me £60 and was hoping the problem could be resolved :/
Thanks

If it didn't heapen with your old headphones (if you have any), try using those again and see if the problem persits.

Alongside this has caused the top half of the padding to become super flat.

Could be an ear infection. Wearing earphones increases the amount bacteria in your ear by a lot. If it didn't heapen with your old headphones (if you have any), try using those again and see if the problem persits. I'm fairly confident in saying that I do not have an ear infection ^_^

I was just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience / knows what the problem is. I don't feel that the headset shape is in anyway hurting as it hurts in the inside of my ear. I don't really want to buy another headset seeing as this one cost me £60 and was hoping the problem could be resolved :/ Thanks Hi Spaz, I have this exact same headset. I've been using it for about six months and haven't really had too many issues with them. My ears will get warm from wearing them for a long period of time(expected), but not burning. It took me a little while to get used to the way they sit on my head considering the headset I used before. Is it possible there could be something wrong with your hearing? Have you used ear cupped headsets before? Or maybe keep the volume low and see if it's the headset pressure around your ears or the sound itself hurting you. Sorry if I'm not of any help, not quite sure what to say. Either way this sucks... I know the pain of spending money on something that doesn't work out... Like my ex girlfriends...

try buying some replacement ear bug pieces, the rubber stuff, and find one that fits a bit better.

Isn't this a thread about a circumaural headset (well, more like half supraaural unless your ears are small)?

They are liquidating their inventory right now so it's all half off. For those who don't know the 555 and 595 are the exact same headphones with slight cosmetic differences once you remove the dampening tape in the 555s that lower the sound quality. The material that covers the ear pieces on the siberia's is pretty crappy compared to the senheisers. I can play for 6 hours w/ my new headphones and it doesn't bother my ears.

Assuming you just recently bought them and find it to be the headphones, I've had good experiences with steelseries customer support, they should be able to work with you on getting a new product or refund. I bought a pair of original Siberias about 4 months ago and one of the earpieces died on me, they ended up replacing it with a pair of V2 at no additional cost ![]()
