My guess is he either installed some drivers for the monitor or somehow Windows automatically detected the speakers on the monitor (though I would think you would need drivers for this right?) and this is now set as his default playback device in Control Panel to the monitor speakers. -edit: On January 27 2012 19:14 Relyan wrote: Nevermind, I figured out. The monitor only has audio-in! Wait were you trying to plug the speakers into the monitor? ... w/e doesn't matter I guess.

Stealth http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.235228400 ultimate stealth http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.235197900 The audio port and USB are not top priority, and the Lighting up is not necessary. However i am wondering about if one has faster poll rate or any other reasons why the ultimate would be $60 extra dollars.

More than likely you have or had some malware on your PC that changed some system properties; it also may be that you accidentally installed Yahoo's thingy that sets Yahoo as the default search provider but this shouldn't redirect google.com.... Anyway two steps go to Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Connections Tab -> click on LAN Settings. On the window that pops up make sure all boxes are unchecked. Next, go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and find the file called host. Open this with Notepad and in the list below the title, delete everthing EXCEPT the line with 127.1.1. That should fix the issue. After that do a full system scan for malware and/or uninstall any crappy Yahoo software you may have installed.

If you mean Intel Xeon or AMD Opteron, then they're pretty much exactly the same as the consumer CPUs except that they support ECC RAM (hardware-level error correction for higher reliability). Intel and AMD will design an architecture such that it works decently for both servers and most desktops and laptops, and use it for all of those purposes. You could say that the design of Bulldozer emphasized things that were more useful for servers than they are for most desktops. Some of these use different sockets and platforms that are similar to the consumer versions but tend to have more I/O capability. Some use the same sockets as the consumer CPUs. Some servers are running on non-x86 hardware like Sun UltraSPARC or Intel Itanium (Itanium is more for legacy mainframe systems, likewise for IBM z196), which would be significantly different. There's plenty of others.

Hard to say, but expectations are that Ivy Bridge improvements will mostly be in the areas of the IGP and power usage. Of course, lower power usage may allow for higher clock speeds.

Expect maybe some 10% improvement or so, per clock, based on very limited early information? That seems maybe a bit optimistic. As mentioned above, the primary improvements are advancements in the integrated graphics and the new manufacturing process, which will give lower power consumption.

For example most streams on TL feature only what is on the screen and the audio from the computer, and nothing else (keyboard, mouse, streamer breathing....etc), can skype achieve the same thing?

Are you supposed to be unable to rebind mouse scroll in game? Or am I just missing something? EDIT: Please PM me if you've a solution to this. I was directed here but despite it being a simple question, I'm not expecting a simple answer unless I'm missing something obvious. I've been looking into this using many a Google and TL search for a couple of hours now. ![]()

My laptop: Intel T6600 Dual core 2.20 GHz Mobility Radeon HD4650 4 GB RAM 24" monitor I play on lowest and get okay FPS for the first while of a game (40-60 FPS) but when lots of Zerglings show up, or just in general late game armies clashing, I can drop to 10-20 FPS. I, basically, have to play at 1680x1050 resolution, which is a 16:10 resolution (my monitor is 16 ) but every other resolution I choose either stretches slightly weird, or I have big horizontal bars. Would lowering my resolution and playing at a stretched one improve my FPS? I tried to test it in a replay but couldn't really tell much of a difference... Maybe 5 FPS in a big battle. Not worth it then, right?
