Anyone that is buying an HP laptop, specifically the dvt6 with an ATI gpu be wary of it. My laptop didn't come with the ATI drivers at all, and I cannot find them on their website. I tried playing starcraft and I was getting 20 FPS on low because it was using the intel 3000 integrated chipset.

What I was trying to say is if the signal that transmits from the keyboard is sent quicker to the computer when using a mechanical keyboard, thus there is less delay between the keyboard and computer. This isnt how USB devices work. The motherboard polls the device at hand for a value. Mechanical keyboards dont magically make your motherboard poll faster and a polling rate higher than 200hz is useless because debounce time is usually around 5ms.

Last night I plugged ear buds into the panel at the front of the computer to listen to something, everything was working as it should. But when I removed the ear buds the already plugged in headphones at the back of the computer refused to work. So I tried rebooting, that didn't work. I tried unplugging it and plugging the headphones into the front panel and that DID work. Also the microphone plugged into the back panel still works. So the front sound panel still functions but the back sound panels do not function although the microphone jack works. How do I get the back panels to work again?

The biggest concern is that most TV sets have relatively huge input lag compared to computer monitors. Think like 30-100ms. Of course this doesn't matter when watching TV, but if you're doing time-sensitive interaction with what's displayed, then it can be a big deal. Some sets may have something like a "game mode" or similar that may perhaps disable some of the image processing/enhancement functionality so the delay is reduced somewhat. It may or may not work well. this is a general delay of the tv and doesnt have anything to do with the hdmi connection am i udnerstanding this right? if yes i guess i dont care much. would only use it to play casual games with friends (stuff like jamestown, trine etc), the most "hardcore" would be fifa ~~ also if all the console people can deal with it i guess i can too.

I play starcraft, skyrim etc. and I would like the best possible performance. I would also like to overclock if possible. I am running 8 gigs DDR3 ram, and 64-bit. Thanks E8500 to Q6600 is a downgrade for SC2, a slight downgrade for Skyrim

![]() From what I have read overclocking e8500 is very effective. I am looking to get started in it, but one thing I noticed is there is something weird about my RAM. This is the RAM I have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231440 It says the timings for it are 7-7-7-21 the timings that are showing up in CPU-Z are 9-9-9-24 though A while back I attempted to overclock, perhaps I never changed it back? Is this likely the case?

I'm trying to find my friend a cheap graphics card that he can use to play Diablo III, LoL, and maybe SC2 on. Low/Medium is all he really needs, preferably under ~50$. One other thing, my friend apparently has a mobo with DDR2 Ram, I assume it doesn't matter for the graphics card right? It should work either way? (Not planning on replacing any other parts, just want to add a gpu so he isn't playing on integrated GMA)
