Maybe im not right there, but i never saw performance anything like what is doable now with old dxtory+xsplit (and dxtory+OBS should be pretty much the same as you are just running dxtory data through encoder..)

So I have a Laptop here I just recently got and I am wondering If i can run SC2... I meet the requirements but my friends ( who plays SC2 ) told me he had a problem once were he thought he could run the game but when he plays online multiplayer as the map starts to get full he said I would experience almost unbearable lag... I hope this is not true because I was a SC1 fan and played for many years just never had the chance to upgrade my computer until now... So as I can not post new threads because I am new I hope someone here will help me!! Please!! I am not the best with all this so sorry if I miss details. My PC is a HP Pavilion g7 Notebook Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2350m CPU @ 2.30GHz 2.30GGz RAM 6.00GB System type 64-bit Operating System Service pack 1 Windows 7 Home Premium If I am missing something tell me where to find it and I will look and let you know!! Thanks again ahead of time to anyone who helps!!

I'd go from a stuttery-feeling 30fps to smooth 55fps~ in League with dxtory through either XSplit or OBS (I've been using OBS since several months before my current build and had the latest version at the time I upgraded).

What the kind of system is that, though? I have ~200fps with the game maxed and over 130 with 1920x1080, 30fps stream live on a midrange system. Are you sure you were using game capture correctly? Even with screen capture etc that kind of performance is really really awful.

Thanks again ahead of time to anyone who helps!! Nvm try canirunit http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri You may also want to try the starcraft starter edition to see if you can run singleplayer. Starcraft 2 just lags in big fights for a lot of people. Why are they still selling core i3s?

The problems come from it being a laptop CPU, its at 2.3ghz and aparantly laptop sandy bridge i3's do not support turbo's. It would run sc2 ok, i mean better than any core 2 duo - but not the best.

It's not so much selling i3s as selling Sandy Bridge. Still got old stock I guess. Sandy Bridge also means integrated HD 3000, which is a bit underpowered as well. It's around in the range where some people would say it's playable and others would say it's unplayable.

As for the laptop specs posted, for the Pavilion, seeing as nothing else was listed, it's probably using the integrated HD 3000. So that point should be emphasized. If you're talking Intel drivers or something on the software side... yeah, but I think they're better these days, especially given the prevalence and relative capability of these integrated graphics compared to what they had before.

Another thing to note is that I can technically run things using flash while SC2 is running, twitch videos will occasionally run, but it freezes more than not. Any suggestions for possible fixes? Should I try switching to Crome?

You could use that to help opening Twitch streams in a Chrome window while still mainly staying with Firefox. For Flash and Firefox, Adobe introduced some kind of sandboxing a while ago, which made it run shitty on some PCs. You can try turning that off: http://techdows.com/2012/06/disable-flash-players-protected-mode-for-firefox.html I don't know if that still works or is still a problem in current versions of Flash. That guide is from over half a year ago. You should maybe try to find something current about that "protected mode". Next, you could try turning off hardware acceleration for Flash videos. It's in the "Settings..." dialog you get from right-clicking on something Flash.

Any idea why simply having wireless enabled on the router would cause +40ms or what I can do to fix it? On March 27 2013 04:16 Chronos. wrote: Idk if anything can be done about this, but almost every time I go into my browser (I'm using firefox) while SC2 is open, it freezes. It's only on pages running flash, especially twitch, and when I close flash player from the control panel, it unfreezes (at least until I try to load another page with flash). This didn't happen in WoL, it only started in HotS.
