Another one that interests me is HQK BITS9901 Turbo-Trak keyboard(Also using the older connector), because although the switches seem membrane, they... don't feel membrane at all? What's with this =S They feel almost linear...

BTC E5X5R5BTC-5339R-O B T C - 5 3 series I think. As I said, looks exactly like IBM Model M without the logo, even similiar caps lock etc indicators and the curled wire... Not sure what to make of this. Edit: Amstrad CPC6128 worth anything?

current options: 1.caviar green 500gb for 75€ from retailer. advantage is i could pick it up right now 2.caviar blue 500gb for around 61€ + 10€ shipping = 71€ 3.barracuda 500gb 60€ + 10€ shipping = 70€ he's tight on budget and had to wait for his new (my old) pc longer then expected since his old ide hdd seems pretty much broken.

If that's a Barracuda 7200.12 or something similar, I would say go with that. Build quality is great, and 7200RPM with a 16mb cache is all you really need. Cavier Blue is pretty comparable, you're paying a bit more for the name brand. Stay away from the Caviar Green, 5400RPM sucks.

There's a number of different versions of Windows 7, besides x86 versus x64; there's a home basic edition, home premium edition, professional, and ultimate. There's some differences as far as included features and downloadable software; the single biggest difference however is what each version's memory limit is. For x64 installs, Windows Home Basic is capped at 8GB, Windows 7 Home Premium is capped at 16GB, and all other versions are capped at 192GB. source

(didnt know tho that there are memory caps in the home versions, not that it matters). i dont understand how some shops can sell the same product for like half the price. if i look around i can find tons of win7pro oem versions for ~110-120€. but then there are several shops which sell exactly the same for ~60€. just seems weird to me

I have the stock cooler on it right now which is: a) Loud as fuck b) Not the most cooling. Looking for something pretty cheap, say $30-50CAD.

http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=61486&promoid=1387 It should be pretty good (well decent) at lower fan speeds particularly: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/scythe-ninja3_5.html#sect0

Ever. Buy from a reputable source such as New Egg or a retailer in your specific country, if necessary. -edit: They just look like unlocked quad core i7 2700ks that this asshat is reselling for $200 more. Also, if you really clocked a sandy bridge to 5.1Ghz, even if you could manage to stop it from melting that would likely be unstable. That would be like a 68% increase in the clock speed. Go to New Egg and buy things from there, stay away from Ebay!
