Are you talking about the full sized board, the EVGA x58 3X SLI? Or why would he go X58 now? EVGA has their ups and downs. But X58 is a ludicrous waste of money now. If you want enthusiast, build X79, if you don't want to spend that much, build 1155.

You know, one that offers a real return policy and a warrenty? On May 10 2012 06:16 Medrea wrote: Processors dont go down in cost ever because they only go with one specific platform. ???

It does slightly better on some things clock for clock, but when you consider the difference in OCing, forget it. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/100?vs=363 And even if you find a bargain price, it's not going to out-perform a 2600k price/performance. Unless you need hex cores, but even then, you should be looking at X79, since once you get into the extra cores and HT, the extra RAM channels will help a bit.

I have a Windows 7 64 bit Motherboard Manufacturer: ASUSTeK Motherboard Model: P5WD2-Premium Intel Pentium D 3.20GHz (4 CPU's), ~3.2GHz I have 8gb of RAM that i just installed (corsair) I have a Nvidia gtx 560 1024mb that I just installed. If there is any more information you need let me know. The problem I have been having is that I believe I should be running at a much higher fps that I am. I played a 4v4 and in the first 5 minutes I was bouncing around at 15fps-33fps at high settings all around. I don't know what is causing this fps drop as I only have starcraft on. I tried figuring it out myself but I am now pretty stumped as to what is wrong. Halp?

Not sure why you bought 8GB of obsolete RAM. Either that or stick to 1v1's on low settings, but even then your FPS will drop massively because it's still a Pentium D.
