Hi guys,
I've got a Dell Vostro 3300 with the below specs
- Intel® CoreTM i5 480M -4GB2 DDR3 SDRAM at 1333Mhz
and the usual stuff.
I'm all right in playing low graphics mode for sc2, but once i hit up to 100 food especially against Zerg it tends to lag. I was thinking is it worth reformatting my computer ( Since its 1 year old) or are my specs are genuine not enough for sc2 play?

Might get better responses over in the Tech Support forum!
(Sorry I would answer if I knew but my PC knowledge is rubbish)

I can't see why it should be lagging, unless you have power management features enabled while running sc2, or don't have the proper graphic drivers.

do you know if you have intel graphics or dedicated (nvidia/ati) graphics? intel's integrated graphics are known to underperform.
|
youll be able to play low.
Otherwise you need a graphics card.
reformatting wont do anything.

The vostro 3300 has a 512MB nvidia geforce 310M in it, shouldn't be limiting him at all.
|
it is your graphics card it should be at least a 660gt or a 9800 PRO to play (you can see its his graphics as when he plays zerg his frame rate drops early (i think he means frame rate drops when he says lag)) it also depends on his res

The Dell Vostro 3300 has an intergraded videochip, so its the fact that you dont have a real videocard, thats whats holding you back. I wonder where you got the info from that it has a 310M.
