Hi,
I've attempted to get the latest version of the Brood War API working on my Windows Vista computer. It all seemed to be going well till I clicked start in Chaos launcher. Norton Anti virus said "SONAR detected security risk chaoslauncher.exe". It said the suspicious action was a "Keylogger Shield".
I've no idea if a keylogger is needed or not for the launcher to work, but Norton's deleted the exe file. This hasn't seemed to be a problem on one of my other computers (uses windows 7) but is on windows vista.
What should I do?

Ignore your buggy anti-virus program.

I really can't understand why there are still people using Norton Antivirus. OP, I'm assuming you're using Windows XP or Windows 7? Please download Microsoft Security Essentials.

"Ignore your buggy anti-virus program."
Cool, will do. Norton's usually ok but it can be a pain sometimes.
"I'm assuming you're using Windows XP or Windows 7"
No-no, I'm using Windows Vista.

Any antivirus that is Symantec / Nortons is the worst ever. It's great at creating false alarms, but terrible at catching anything real. We use corporate symantec antivirus at work and it basically is incapable of catching anything.

Nod32 is a great paid anti virus program perfect for gaming. I use the more expensive smart security and haven't gotten a virus ,but I also am a safe internet user. If you need a ondemand scanner 2 of the best are super anti spyware, and malwarebytes both are free and catch the majority of viruses, rootkits, etc . If you need more extensive help visit bleeping computer they have a large community that will help you if you get infected with viruses.

I'd skip out on norton and get avg instead if its causing problems. Most of the time norton says its a virus. Everything is a virus to norton.
