I have yet to find a thread on this so here goes. I have been searching forever on how I can change my real ID (your real name that appears to your friends in your buddylist, ex. John Smith). I made my account a while back and didn't know the impact of you using a fake name and now it's very annoying when I try to add new friends. The only solution I found from Blizzard was to send their customer service a ticket saying you want to change your name and provide two forms of verification. However, this option is only available to people who have received a legal name change. Do any of you know a way to change my bnet real ID? It won't let me in account settings as far as I can tell...

You need to call their billing and account services department regarding this.

no way to do it I'm afraid, it's blizz brilliant policy to counter account selling, even if that means denying to change stupid things like that. sorry I can't help you further, but this is what I experienced

Yeah I have the same problem, I made my account when I was very young (and consequently heeded my all-knowing parents' warnings of pedophiles on the internet), so I am from here on out known as Sir "Nick Nick."
