I have long gaming sessions all the time and sometimes ( only sometimes ) my wrist starts to hurt a bit. Is not bad at all , like when I'm in a middle of a match I don't notice at all , however I don't want it to become worse over time. I am looking for a good mouse wrist rest that isn't too big so it would not allow me to move my hand freely and slow my performance. Any recomandations? Thx. | ||

I've been having arm trouble recently and I always had my arm like straight out. It feels better whenever I move my mouse to a lower surface where my elbow is more angled. | ||

Having your wrist in a flexed position (mouse/desk height is too high) is rare in computer use but it leads to all nerves, arteries, and tendons running through the carpal tunnel to compress against each other which leads to irritation. Having your wrist in an extended position (mouse/desk height is too low) is more common and leads to the transverse carpal ligament tightening up which reduces the volume of the whole carpal tunnel. This puts extra pressure on everything. Resting your wrist on the desk (or a wrist rest) will only increase the compression of the carpal tunnel and make your wrist issues worse. Assuming your condition isn't too bad yet, just re-arrange your chair height or get a new desk which allows you to keep your wrist as neutral as possible. Everything should fix itself and you shouldn't have any more problems. | ||
