pro - 5600dpi adjustible to your preference by sliders (more accurate than deathadder 450/900/1800/3500) rubber grip multiple buttons (9 total) cons- phillips twin eye laser sensor it jumps from time to time... what's up with that?? ergonomically awkward I'd say that its cons outweighed the pros as you almost never need to 5600dpi and I would say in terms of design, the deathadder is ample times better deathadder - ergonomic, right/left hand specific, palm grip lachesis - claw grip, ambidexterous i'd say try out multiple mice to figure out which one you like.

for my friend it is 10/10 because he can grip it right and i believe him that he loves it even his aim on (CoD2, CS, QL) is amazing. Its really AWESOME buy for 40 bucks and if you are palm, claw griper that mouse is for you. btw 5600 DPI is kind of useless. Dont know anyone who uses it on maximum.

-How your hand feels -Mouse doesnt make unexpected moves, jumps, etc. And someone said lachesis doing that? If u wanna play for real, get rid of it and buy a simple microsoft mouse:D Btw Abyssus and steelseries Qck+ heavy is great =) gl & hf

I got the 4000dpi mouse back when it was around 80 dollars USD. The non-ergonomic design took a while to get used to but it really is perfect when you do and feels great, now I don't like ergonomic. I'm a palm grip so I don't know how good it would be if you're claw. I find its precision amazing, the mouse options are plentiful, and the tracking is top notch. Concerning the cursor jumping issue, I just clean it regularly and wipe off the laser eye and I don't have a problem with it. However, I only use this mouse for FPS (quake, counterstrike etc) and I use an old classic 5 button microsoft mouse for sc2 and other rts. Call me oldschool I guess, and I'm sure it's good for sc2 too, but I mainly got this for Quakelive and CS and I will say It's a MUST for fps games. Would like to note I don't have much experience with other gaming mice so maybe just any good high dpi laser mice are just as good. But If I'd have to rate the lachesis based on my exp I'd give it a 9/10.

pros 5600dpi adjustible to your preference by sliders (more accurate than deathadder 450/900/1800/3500) rubber grip multiple buttons (9 total) the biggest minus it gets is that it sometimes just doesn't respond... lost me some games just because of my mouse just not moving right or left... i'm getting a new mouse ASAP!

edit: 10/10 for the mouse. Only because I haven't used any other high-end mice to compare it to.

Love it. Its a little bit different in terms of its size, and how its shaped, but after getting used to it, I can't imagine ever going back to something more standard.

Definitely a personal preference thing, though - if you don't mind the shape of it in your hand, its probably quite good. I couldn't use the side buttons at all, though, without hurting my wrist.

Try this. I have been using it for awhile and for me it works great. Never have had any jumps, stalls. Mouse clicks are quick and precise, adjustable DPI up to 3200. Laser grade mouse. To me it is a larger mouse but is more comfortable for my hands. has adjustable weights at the back but to be honest I have never messed with them. has two side buttons as well. The only problem I have had with it is that when my computer goes to sleep and I wake it back up I have to unplug and plug it back in to get it to work. I have never used the lachesis so I cant comment on it. But I have heard razer makes good gaming mice.

Once you've narrowed it down you need to look at things like: - Shape - Price - Number of buttons (if it matters) - DPI (if it matters) As for my recommendation.. I would go with Logitech. Either G9x, MX518 or G700 depending on the shape you like. The G700 is quite expensive but I love it. For a cheaper Logitech mouse that has the same shape as the G700 you want to look at the M500. I also have the G9x which is a really good mouse - i tried it for a week, but never really got used to it, it's a little bit heavier than the lachesis, even without any weights. however, lately, my lachesis is giving me some intermittent axis-locking problems which2a is super annoying, so i'm trying to get used to the G9x again.

Anyways, i check out the mice there, and not surprisingly none of the razer mice were on display. i couldnt find the lachesis there either, but i found the mamba, naga, orochi( oh its soo small!! awesome!) deathadder, and the Imperator. the old version of the mx18 was on display and so was the G500, which felt soo nice. it was light, and the buttons felt like magic. On December 26 2010 04:39 ZekZ wrote: i personally prefer the deathadder, if you can test them out for a couple days each and see what mouse fits you best. Mice are like shoes man its gotta fit you just right for maximum performance :D i did check it out, felt the grip (i just felt the plastic display thingy covering the mouse) and personally i dont really like it. definitely the next two mice on my list(if i dont like the Lachesis) will be the G500 and/or Razer Abyssus. No steel series mice for me, and the G9x deals are way over, so yeah im thinking about these two, thx for contributing everybody! plz add moar =D
