I don't actually get jitter on this cheap mousepad, but just that perceivable delay in response. It's almost as if there were inertia/acceleration on the mouse at the beginning of movement, but I have acceleration disabled (and registry fixed as well), and if I turn acceleration back on I have a whollly all over the place uncontrollable mouse, so I'm assuming my problem isn't acceleration. By uncontrollable I literally mean that, it has an unbelievable left bias with acceleration on, and is massively inconsistent in its tracking. Abyssus also has hardware switches on the bottom, that one is set to 1000hz too right? Other than this, I'm not really sure what to tell you, if the tracking is that messed up you might want to contact Razer support and see if they will replace it for you. It sounds like there may be a defect with the hardware. As you can see, when I land my mouse (I play low sensi so I do that a lot -not in this movie, i was testing-), the mouse isnt reacting sometimes...just friggin awful. Now is this an sensor issue or is the mouse broken or is it because I'm using cloth pad? Anyone? Been looking for hours for more information but havent found anything useful yet :x Edit: when I try this on my table without mousepad I have nearly no problems what so ever with it. So is this definitely a mousepad issue then and if I buy a hard plastic for example. Would it be solved? I really do hope its the mousepad because this is a 1 day old mouse and was already freaking out and looking for another mouse but then I thought I should ask someone else first ![]() Ty

Its not that, its the fact that none of the mice look suitable for the way I move my mouse, which is having my thumb and pinky holding it and moving it while my 3 top fingers form an arc that touches the area before the line between the mouse buttons and the rest of the mouse, and I send 1 finger out at a time to press each mouse button. Basically, my mouse hand works the same way as my keyboard hand, and none of mice look suitable for the way I use a mouse when compared to the old logitech optical mice, especially the weird looking ones with the landslide formation on the side

Also, does it do this on the desktop as well (or other games)? Check to see if there's anything in the sensor cavity that might be obstructing the laser, but if it's completely clear I would say that you might have a bad mouse and need to RMA it. p.s. QL?

Check this out, I just found this today http://www.esreality.com/post/2246615/re-new-gaming-mouse-development Logitech Mx300/G1 type shape, 250-2000 DPI with fine adjusting No prediction No jittering Looks amazing, I had the biggest nerd gasm when i found this. My favorite mouse shape by miles is the G1 style shape, and the only reason I don't use it is because of prediction and slightly too low DPI. pics: with lights http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/776/p1160121.jpg without lights http://img848.imageshack.us/img848/3306/p1160110d.jpg Anyone else excited about this?

It's a little larger than the G1 but yea, those of us who know about it are pretty interested to see how it performs. TT1 might also be able to comment on the mouse as he may be a beta tester. ![]()

I'm looking for a cloth pad for my razer abyssus, I've googled around and read dozens of threads about this subject but I get alot of mixed statements... I had a Qck+ when i originally bought this mouse and it had some heavy jitter. Currently I'm using a qpad xt-r wich is a hard plastic pad and the tracking is perfect but I just hate using hard pad. The mouse skates are allready quite worn down (about 2-3weeks since I bought abyssus) due to using hard pad. Also I'm really frustrated about every little piece of dirt being so easily noticable when moving the mouse around on a hard pad. I'd really appreciate if someone would know a cloth pad that 100% works on abyssus with no jitter at all. Some people recommend goliathus speed but some say it has jitter with abyssus so I'm not sure if I want to gamble 20€.

Best solution with a picky mouse, IMO. Fry's probably hated me last time I needed to replace mine.

I've had no problems on either surface at 1800dpi setting. IIRC the 3500 dpi setting is more prone to jitter than the lower ones.. Try switching to 1800 dpi and see how you fare ( you can still adjust sensitivity in the razer software if you prefer really high sens). The mouse and pad combo should be golden.

According to the comment of the creator on the website its going to retail for quote "£20, maybe less" which is a pretty decent price.

Nope, I'm playing @450dpi but the jitter appears on all of the dpi settings using qck+ (same surface as every other qck). This is also a very well known issue with abyssus on almost every cloth pad it seems. Are you certain you dont have jitter? Draw some different angled lines in paint using the pen tool. Because I find it hard to believe that your abyssus would be the one out of million to function perfectly on cloth pads since they all use the same sensor. Thus far I've searched around for all day (like 4hrs) to find a cloth pad for abyssus but it seems only hard pads are quaranteed to work... I quess I'll buy a new mouse or gamble with the goliathus speed.

You should try to rotate your mousepad 45 and 90 degrees to see if that makes a difference if you haven't already. Some people have reported that certain angles cause it as well. Also I do know of cases where the Abyssus didn't originally have jitter, but later acquired it for no apparent reason. Yes I've read that and the cloth pads told to be working on that thread had alot of mixed statements on other places. Also I've tried rotating the mousepad but it only changes if the jitter occurs on horizontal or vertical movements... and I'd prefer no jitter at all.

For BW players and for certain FPS players 450 DPI is actually enough, but I think it would be pretty miserable playing any modern game. Gotta say 450 and lower DPI can work ok in sc2, i have played fine at that or at 1800dpi 2 sens (effective 360dpi) on deathadder and qck+ for 8+ hours at a time. I think mouse sensitivity is very individual, and if you are used to it, there is no real reason you cant use those sensitivities. I could use half of that and still fit on my mousepad just fine, without movements at any speed i am capable of maintaining accuracy with being fast enough to trigger inconsistent tracking

Are you talking about the fact that the circles are going in a generally upper-right direction? That could be caused by a number of things including the mouse surface and what settings you've got in windows. Can you be more specific about exactly what the problem is?
