can anyone recommend me a mouse that has roughly the same shape as a Kinzu w/ a good sensor (basically a good palm grip mouse with avago 3310, 3090 etc.)?

Caseless g9x is the best small mouse imo. I have kinzu and abysuss but i keep going back to g9x >.>

Is there a line of great fingertip grip mice that is still in production and likely to be around for a while? Looking for a successor to my CM Storm Spawn, should it ever die.

Using atm Zowie Mico but thinking about maybe getting a other Mouse but have No Clue which is kinda like Mico. G9x would be perfect but they are expensive as hell (150€ for me) maybe you guys know some nice alternatives? Thank you in Advance

My g303 is malfunctioning when i swipe right while holding the right mouse button (which tilts the mouse to the side a bit and makes it less balanced)

A result of the instability of the mouse because of the feet position as well as the very low lift off distance off the sensor - it's lifting a fraction of a centimeter and then malfunctioning under 1m/s on black cloth. This stuff really shouldn't get past the design phase IMO.

I don't think i will ever buy a mouse that doesn't track at 1cd again. At about 2cd, maybe 1.5cd you can get used to it, but a LOD of under 1cd is beyond that point, it's managed to bother me on a daily basis and continues to do so after a thousand hours of use at a range of sensitivities (from 600 to 900dpi on 1920x1080 on both 2d and FPS play). I think the 302 sensor LOD might even be considerably higher, which could be a plus.

Looking to buy a new mouse for SC2. I'm currently using Razer Abyssus. I might just buy the same cause I really like the mouse for RTS games as it's so light, but I'm thinking about trying something new as I've been have problems with the abyssus.

What does most of the pro's use?
is there any mouse that is similar to the Abyssus?
open to any suggestions but the mouse has to be light.
using 1800 dpi.

I just got a g303 because the shape seems perfect for starcraft. Unfortunately due to abysmal build quality the sensor was not properly secured and jittered all over the place when moving. This is a super common problem with the model apparently (googling the issue produces just an endless tide of threads about it) and can be DIY fixed but I have to say I'm not buying a mouse like that then opening it up an hour after it being delivered to tape the components.

This was the issue

RMA'd it, got a replacement. Exact same issue. Perhaps its batch based or I'm just really unlucky but that rate of defectiveness is just unacceptable. So yea, my review: shape, concept etc all brilliant, build quality; abysmal. Avoid.

I'd say try the new ZA series from Zowie, Z11 is the biggest one (there's a Z12 <- medium size & a Z13 <- VERY small)
It's arched a bit (the arch is bigger than usual) so you can use a palm grip, claw grip, basically anything you want, and your palm can just rest easily on the back of the mouse. It has 2 side buttons on BOTH sides (ambidextrous), which might be a bit of a turn off for rts players, but personally it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

As always with Zowie, it's a P&P mouse, so no need to install any software to change any of your settings (it uses combinations of the mouse buttons to change the polling rate if you want to change it and a dpi button is on the bottom next to the sensor, and it's flawless). DPI: 400 / 800 / 1600 / 3200, polling rate can be switched between 125 - 500 & 1000hz, and the LOD is 1.5-1.8mm which is great.

The sensors in their mice nowadays are one of the better ones out there, so no need to worry about the sensor when you go for a Zowie.

http://zowie.benq.com/mice/za/series

Have a Zowie EC1-A also (it's the biggest one of the EC's), I can definitely say it's a flawless mouse as well (though obviously I haven't tried to "break" it to see what its limits are in terms of speed etc, but on fps games with a very low sensitivity I've never experienced anything going wrong).

If you're not interested in a Zowie mouse, well, the lightest mouse I've ever used (with the shittiest sensor I've ever witnessed personally) is the steelseries kinzu v3, VERY light, too light for me, no sidebuttons, so basically, buy a kinzu, open it up, put a better sensor in it and I think you'd have the lightweight you're looking for.
Past is prologue.

Everyone has the issue and the shape is definately hit and miss. It's a shame that they got half of the stuff perfect (sensor, clicks etc) but had this shape, build quality, LOD issues

So I think it's finally time I upgrade my mouse, been using the same logitech g1 for 7+ years now lol. Haven't looked into new mice in a long time. I know I just want a basic 3 button mouse, no side buttons if possible. I use a claw/palm grip hybrid, I guess. Any recommendations for a similar built mouse?

the Logitech G100s? Good sensor, good quality, overall definitely worth the money, especially when you've been using a g1 for over 7 years and looking to get something similar, the g100s seems like a nobrainer. As the name already reveals, it's "basically" an updated g1. It does have a removable weight inside of it, to make it even lighter than it already is, only downside to that is you need to remove the mouseskate to get access to the screw, so the risk you take by removing the mouseskate is that it might not be the same after putting it back on, but so far I have yet to hear someone say they regret it afterwards.

Should take a look on YouTube for some reviews so you can have a look at what it looks like in terms of size etc..

http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/tech-support/409486-logitech-g100s-evaluation

If not, there's the steelseries kinzu (terrible sensor), the razer abyssus, roccat lua,.. there're bound to be more without side buttons.

So I was stuck with a tiny Microsoft Wireless Mouse () for a LONG time and just got my old Razer Imperator back from my family... I can't stand it. I have pretty small small hands and a finger/claw grip which just does not work with the Imperator's large size and ergonomics.

Looking for a small mouse, and have had Razer Orochi and Taipan, CM Spawn, and Zowie FK1 recommended. Not sure how to make a choice...
I also had a friend recommend just buying ALL of them from Amazon and then returning all but the one I like most.

I'm like you, needed something small (could play with the big ones easy peasy but prefer small ones), the Zowie Za13 is hands down the best mouse I've ever owned, you would not regret buying one.

God damnit 2 months after I bought mine >.< Well this isn't that big of a deal, the switches are fine as they are, a better wheel would have been cool though!

Which is why people end up spending a ton of money, always want the newest things, even if the changes are minimal (insignificant even). I'll keep on using my Za13 with the old switches, still the best thing I've ever used.

Well it's nice for the people who didn't buy a zowie because of the stiffer switches or the questionable wheel quality though. It's not worth buying the new edition if you own a previous one, unless you really can't stand the occasional wheel jump.

Just have to mention my Gigabyte Krypton gaming mouse which has served me well for over 2 years now!

Pros:
-Top notch weight system, easy to customize to your exact needs.
-Durable and reliable. One single problem when a small hair got stuck in the sensor, but it was easily removed.
-Insane DPI, up to 8200, and easy to swich between different settings. The intervals can be customized.
-Very accurate, I cant complain
-Cheap!

Cons:
-Cable is a bit hard, but it does not bother me.
-Thumb grip is solid, but the unevenness makes it a bit weird to hold. Takes some time getting used to, but it does give good control and will never be slippery.

Other:
-The 2 different gliding surfaces are hyped, but I dont think many will really change them much... I picked the most normal one and stuck with it. Maybe some super hardcore FPS players will choose the speed version?
-Lots of customizable light-stuff, cool I guess??
