Just got a g400s (whee birthday). Is there any software/settings recommended for it? I remember using set point with my mx518 and loved it.

It's native steps are 800cpi and 3600cpi So unless you can play at high sensitivity probably just keep it at 800cpi 500Hz or 1000Hz

How does 3310/3366 perform at ~600-650dpi or so? What about the g402? I'm kinda confused as to what are effectively native DPI's, and how much tracking is actually affected from deviating from those when drivers allow you to on those sensors

I kinda want something around 640dpi, but i'd need the capability to increase that by ~1.5 and ~2x to maintain muscle memory while downsampling. My xornet is ok atm, i can use 750 (1k @ 5/11) for 1080p, 1k native for 1440p and 1500 (2k @5/11) for 4k res - but i don't want to have to use inconsistent sens scaling in windows, if it can be avoided

Random dell mouse I used at the public library that felt amazingly perfect in my hand: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826675001

Anyone have experience with this mouse at home, in games?

I really don't like 3 button mice, even for games like starcraft, but for those that do, this one seems pretty swell and only $30.

I wasn't able to find out anything about its sensor on google.

I bet that's overpriced at $30. There's various simple mice branded as Dell on amazon.com for less than $10, including one where the picture looks like this mouse.

I like this mouse, too. A lot of good mice were unreliable, but they're cheap so it's not a big deal. 3.9/5 stars on amazon is still pretty solid. The old microsoft optical mice weren't that reliable either right?

The famous ones are actually very reliable, among the best of affordable mice of the time and still used today by some people because of the feel of the sensor, even with the combination of limited DPI (hard to use for 2d) and limited perfect control speed (hard to use for low sens FPS)

This is the definition of the Logitech Mini Optical...before they ended its production.

Take a look at the Corsair M45 (look for exactly that number as there's several Corsair mice with the same shape and the one with the "best" sensor is the M45).

There will be a Logitech G302 out before Christmas and it might have an interesting shape for you but there's no real details yet about that mouse. I didn't find good pictures of it.

Bad sensor, that's the reason for taking the M45

Hey guys, i have been looking for a new mouse for the past day or two now but im having trouble finding the "perfect" mouse for me.

A list of things i want from the mouse:

Good for palm grip
Good for RTS and MOBA games
Has to be accurate
Has 1600 DPI, it is what i play at

A list of things that the mouse must NOT have built into it:

Acceleration
Prediction
Huano switches, terrible for RTS/MOBA.
Many buttons like a MMO mouse
Cannot be razor, i don't like razor products

So yeah i want the perfect mouse more or less for RTS haha. My budget is very high so price isn't a factor here. What mouse should i be looking at? I was learning towards zowie mice but they have huano switches which are no good for repetitive clicking, they are more designed towards FPS. I hope i can get some help here!

Thanks.

It's similar to the 100s but the feel of it is better. The main thing that people will notice is that the switches feel nicer/more precise than the 100s (no squeaking/wiggling). It does have a slightly narrow shape in the front which forced me to be more forward with my grip, but I got used to it and quite like the mouse overall (physical shape) other than that one quip.

Edit: forgot,

it's €50 q_q

i'm probably going to get a mouse soon, leaning towards the CM xornet, however i'm biding my time until christmas i think

g302 looks nice but it's €50, too much for a mouse imo. well maybe not too much for a mouse, but more than i would be willing to spend.

It should drop to close to 40 € after a while.

EDIT: Well... I can find the CM Storm Xornet for as low as 18 € (including shipping), so there's no contest really if you like and can use the shape it has.
