Ok, ok. How about this one. Every time I reboot my PC, my mouse can't double click. The fix to this is to go to mouse properties (windows settings) and touch ANYTHING. And it fixes the issue. Could it be some driver issues ? It's really annoying to fix every time I reboot my PC.

Hey ya'll

I'm looking for a mouse suggestion, something BIG. My hands are large and I'm sick of them dragging along the mousepad, gumming everything up. I've been using a Logitech M500 (not a real gaming mouse, I know) with fingertip, but only because it's too small to get more of my gorilla hands on. Any big hands people out there wanna recommend something?

1. What's your grip style? - Claw
2. What's your sensitivity? - Low/medium
3. What's your maximum budget? - $100 - I'm up for whatever
4. Do you want additional buttons? - Forward and back on the thumb for sure, nothing else is needed.
5. What games do you play? - Sc2 and miscellaneous FPS's (TF2, Titanfall, etc)
6. Do you mind angle snapping? - No idea what this is...
7. Other relevant information? - Right hand ergonomic shape

Teching to hive too quickly isn't just a risk: it's an ultrarisk

g502 if you google around for anything that people don't like about it, and see that it fits you

http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g502-proteus-core-tunable-gaming-mouse

I think biggest concern i have heard is that some grips slip the thumb onto the sniper button, but i didn't look super in depth because it's way too big for me (121g with no added weight vs my current mouse's 77g)

EVGA Torq X10 is available for pre-order at a discounted price:

http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=2167140

Doesn't look all that special to me except the aesthetics of a carbon fibre coated mouse. Nice shape and customizable features though.

Might be able to make a few bucks by buying at a cheaper price and ebaying them later when they go up to regular price.

Yea i would have posted about that if it wasn't 9800. Price is set to increase massively after the launch discount period (i think by like 1.8x? it was a pretty insane price increase)

The shell is somewhat interesting but nobody, FPS or otherwise who is picky about sensor would take it - there are too many 3310/3090 options. I'm sad to see the 9800 shown off and picked for these mice as a "flagship" sensor tbh. Even the mionix series is named as if it were superior, instead of just a second option that most knowledgeable people would avoid for gaming usage.

Also, $100/$130 with/without the carbon coating stuff is kinda ridiculous. I'd take the pre-launch pricing as "regular pricing" and avoid unless discounted as such - a godly mouse might be worth those kinds of prices with things like good warranty coverage, but it's nothing special - maybe pretty good, but hardly omg-amazing-tier - knowing mice/hardware prices, that'd probably flip for the equivelant of ~$140-200 in europe and it's a mouse for gods sake. Some of the best mice on the planet discount for $12.99 after rebate with free shipping.

It's definitely a mouse that if you want, you'd better buy now.....

It seems similar to the Razer Ouroboros with its customization but instead of clutch buttons on the side, it has on-board memory for profile storage.

And lights!

What I don't like about it is that you can't buy it at the discount price after the reviews have come out...but on the flip side, if you do pre-order it and the reviews are bad, you can probably re-sell it to EVGA enthusiasts for a slight discount from the regular price.

Pretty sure there isn't going to be one. I don't remember all of the comments, but EVGA dude discussed it on OCN quite a bit

"Optical version will be a different look/appearance. No ETA yet.

BTW I should also mention that the Avago 9800 sensor that is used on the x10 has all the latest FW updates that fix some of the early reported issues when the 9800 first was released.
Edited by EVGA-JacobF - 5/24/14 at 11:53am"

size comparison:

and apparently the optical version will use the 3988 sensor ( dunno anything about it )

It's still a 9800, they've not fixed the consistency issue which is the biggest one

I would do a follow-up. Ask them if they've received your complaint.

Man, I'm tired of all these "gaming" mice being constructed solely for ergonomics, aesthetics and as much DPI as possible to make the mouse seem better than any other mouse. Need more ambidextrous simple mice that just perform imo. On that note: any opinions on the zowie mico ?

It's decent but not great, seems like the clics are though and the sensor isn't too great, especially as it seems to be afflicted by a skipping bug (source : http://www.overclock.net/t/1084929/my-zowie-mico-experience ).
The mionix naos 7000 is a simple ambidextrous mouse that performs, you should check it out (pretty expensive though). I think the logitech g100s is kind of decent too if you want a really small and simple mouse.

The avior is the ambidextrous one, naos is right hand but yea they are both silly expensive

Can anyone suggest mice for me?
My preferences:
Small mouse, under $50, ambidextrous, won't need more than 2000 dpi.
I've been even browsing cheap optical mice that can last without issues.
I mainly play Starcraft, League of legends, and some misc games.

I'd look at Logitech G100s or Razer Abyssus.

I'd go with the Zowie MiCO. The shape is a lot easier to handle with small hands than the G100S and the buttons are more satisfying to click once you adapt to the pressure needed to push them. I've used the MiCO for around 2 years (I had the blue version) and it didn't have any problems. There are no drivers or updates or software, just plug-and-play with a DPI shift built into the mouse. I've heard some complaints about the 1800DPI setting not being "true" and that it's calculated. That might be a problem if you do tend to go that high, however, I've always used the 400DPI setting and it's worked out fine. The skipping glitch can be replicated fairly easily but in-game you never notice it (I was a Top 8 Masters Terran player).

The Razer Abyssus is a nice choice but I've had terrible experiences with Razer products including jittering (Razer Copperhead and Razer Tron Mouse) and sensor malfunctions (Razer Naga 2014) that prevented the mouse from moving horizontally.
