I'm sure you can get pretty much whatever version of software you want with a tiny bit of poking. Look on www.overclock.net if you have to

^102 is the lag fix though. Seems you'd want that one, maybe with a tape for lower LOD (but personally i like high LOD)
What sens are you gonna use? With 800dpi or 1600dpi on 1920 width display and 1:1 you have a sens of 1.2 (1600dpi) or 2.4 (800dpi) inches to cross screen on widest axis (x-axis-resolution / dpi on calculator, 1920 / 800 for example) i'm currently at my best accuracy with ~3.05 inch to cross screen sensitivity
|
I'm going to use 800 dpi as it's closer to my previous dpi of 1000, my monitor is 1600 x 900. I'll probably try out 1600 just to see how it feels but most likely will stick to 800. I clicked on one of those links that had the 61FW uploaded on mediafire but chrome blocked it saying it could be malware.
|
Alright I'm on 102 I think. Do you happen to know where I can download the software to change what the buttons do? I want to make every dpi step 800 so that if I or someone else clicks it, it doesn't change.

Hmm. I believe I still have angle snapping on even though it's off (red) in the software and I also have enhance precision unclicked windows.

Oddly enough no, however my mamba is now 100% dead it no longer detects the vespula mouse pad beneath it BUT and this is the hilarious part it's sensor picks up my bedding. (I game on my bed.) I have now switched to my Rat7 Contagion. And in other news my Razer Megalodon headset is now completely done working due to a wiring problem. I am tempted to send Razer quality control a scanned picture of my hand flipping them off.

To be fair the rat 7's not that much better

I play with a palm/fingertip grip. My fingers are longer then the mouse I have now so I gotta back up a bit but id rather do a palm grip. my hand mesures ~140mm X ~100mm (This feels like overkill saying this). And my budget is >80$(cdn) Id like something that will last for a long time. How do you guys feel about the razer Lachesis. The razer site no longer sells it but its possible to get it on ebay. So what do you guys think? If you have any suggestions feel free d^_^b
Edit: I would also like a mouse that I can put all my fingers on, because if i cant i tend to flex those fingers and after 1-2 hours of gaming they hurt a moderate amount. Which is why I like the Lachesis because the front end of it is quite big.

To be fair my Rat 7 is actually still working where as my Naga, and my mamba are not. And my mamba lost all wireless function about 3 months after I purchased it so; Further I went through 2 Blackwidow ultimate editions (D key stopped registering key strokes and the S key on another one had the same issue. Pop the key caps off and press the switch manually and it works. Swap out key caps and WTF issue is still there.) and a Megalodon headset. I'm sure other people have had problems with the Rat. I stopped using mine for awhile as I was having an issue with horizontal locking; where I would not be able to scroll across the X axis while playing games. I was going to write up a review of my Rat 7 and this issue for this thread but I found myself very depressed after writing up 3 reviews for my 3 recent Razer mouse purchases and the best I could say about one of the mice is that it is working as intended, nothing special about it.

My G500 started registering double clicks instead of one after about a year and half, so I just bought Kinzu v2 pro. The glossy smooth surface feels amazing but I have a bad feeling it'll get dirty quickly. My first impression is that it's got a really low profile and feels almost like a laptop mouse. Hopefully the clicker is more durable and reliable than logitech's. Really miss the side buttons though.

xD It's ironic because I use a Zowie MiCO which is notorious for it's hard-to-press switch. It's difficult to actually get a double click when you want to lol.

Hi, looking for some recommendations.
Current set up is Zowie AM with the Steelseries Qck. Fingertip. Using it on the highest DPI, 2300. Mainly for LoL (for which I have 60/60% Sensitivity ingame)
I feel like it's not really accurate at times, especially when ingame. Don't really know what causes this. Also I feel like the mouse pad is a little small. Was looking at the Razer Goliathus 2014 but I heard the green parts or something interfere badly with the Zowie AM? And is there any faults with this mouse / a reason why none (?) of the high level players in both SC2/LoL never seem to use the mouse? Any other recommendations for fingertip?
Thanks in advance.

You should use 1.0x sensitivity (same on desktop as ingame) and 6/11 (1.0) in windows mouse options with enhanced pointer precision disabled, and if you want more accuracy you can drop to the lower DPI step (~bit over 1k?)
I don't know the sensor so can't reccomend any specific mousepad but it's nice to have a larger one, and if there's any specific tracking issues then detailing them or finding other info on them would help a ton

The default is 0.50/0.50. I'm not actually sure if that's 1:1 to Windows. Do you play League? Because 1.0 is not the default, so it'd be weird for that to be the 1:1 setting (and it's also extremely fast). But if 1.0 in LoL is in fact 1:1 to Windows I could try going down on the DPI to compensate for the speed up.
I already have Accel disabled and going down on the DPI makes it too slow for me.

I can't really check ATM because euw is refusing my connection, but maybe middle setting is 1:1 (and max is like 4.0x, not 1.0x? sc2 does that kind of thing), i'm not sure because i don't change my sens using ingame sliders (and you shouldn't, because by definition you're dropping data or interpolating it if you change anything aside from sensor level dpi)
Over 1k DPI is still very fast, if it appears slow or fast to you is quite arbitrary and down to perception, not how actually slow or fast it is, keep that in mind. 2.5k DPI used to seem slow to me, now 800 seems very fast
I feel like it's not really accurate at times, especially when ingame.
It's really hard to guess what you mean by this though, if you have a problem with not pixel-perfect accuracy (due to not having game and windows at 1:1), if you're having issues using the mouse physically in some way, or if you're describing some kind of sensor issue
|
Yeah I can't check either right now, also on EUW. If you don't change it with the slider, how do you do it?
Over 1k might be "fast", but I have to swipe too much for that. I guess I'm more of a a high-sens player if you could call it that. The second DPI step, 1150, just doesn't feel right to me using it out of game. But as said, I'll try it again when I can connect and put the ingame sensitivity to 1:1, maybe it makes up for that.
About the accuracy thing, the first point you listed rather.

Sensor level dpi/ppi, that's just a stat that says how many counts your mouse gives per inch of movement, or rather, how many pixels it moves. A pixel is the smallest level of movement that you can do on a screen like desktop or interfacing with something like sc2/LoL
If you're changing sens in windows or ingame, you're just telling the operating system or game to either inconsistently ignore some of the mouse input (to get a net negative effect on sensitivity) or to for example, add a fifth count for every four that you do (for a net positive effect on sensitivity), which means your mouse would track onto pixels 1, 2, 3, 5 (skipping 4) and you wouldn't be able to select the fourth pixel
It's a major weakness in many mice that they don't have many selectable or good DPI levels, many opticals are limited to a few multiples or native settings (like yours w/ 2300 and 1150 settings, i'm not sure which is native or what works best but you can't select anything else which is not ideal)
Some Laser sensors have far more customizable DPI levels (and are not stuck with a "native" setting i think) but many have their own issues. In mouse market you're not really picking a mouse most suitable for you as much as you are picking one out that's least unsuitable
The second DPI step, 1150, just doesn't feel right to me using it out of game.
Big changes in sensitivity need different postures or usage habits for how you handle and use the mouse, but that's where i'd reccomend (with lots of osu training too) for comfort, accuracy and skill if you wanted to put time into developing that

My Windows sensitivity feels perfect to me, I want it just like that ingame.
I actually made some research and google'd around. LoL seems to change your Windows sensitivity the moment you go ingame (from 6/11 to 5/11). This is really weird. I can't test it myself right now either. It's kinda funny how a big game like League still hasn't implemented a basic feature such as 1:1 sensitivity.
