Anyone used the Logitech G1 before? I have it. It's not perfect, but it feels nice. I couldn't stick with it because I had the glossy one. My hands sweat when I play games.

Also can anyone suggest a mouse with a similar shape and weight to the kana with an 800 DPI step. And does it make sense that a heavy mouse would cause an RSI?

Dequervains is what the wrist problem is called, for whatever reason the kana alleviated it but it might have been coincidence that I was just using better posture or something.

There's no choice I feel, playing with pain would be stupid. I'm also using a mouse that has some slight sensor problems on my mouse pad because its shape and weight is best for my pain. I've seen both happen to me, a mouse causing pain because of its shape, and a mouse with good shape being too heavy. You might want to see if using a mouse pad with less friction helps with the weight of the G400. You might want to try the Abyssus. It has no thumb button. There's the Logitech G100s, also without thumb button. You can open it up and remove a weight (it's literally a piece of metal just to make the mouse feel heavier). It's like the Abyssus after that weight is removed. The Kana V2 is coming out in Europe these days. It's already on the market in East Asia. There's rumors it won't come out in the US. It has a good sensor and better button switches.

Still can't find one after ringing up a number of suppliers. Thanks anyway.

Mine jitters when moving in a certain direction. EDIT: It seems to work pretty good on my Allsop Raindrop cloth mouse pad. It seems great at 450 dpi: http://i.imgur.com/LtZZ73Z.png On 1800 dpi, you can see a hint of that jitter being worse in certain directions as on my QCK: http://i.imgur.com/AxPiWAq.png

Did you ever switch between two different screen resolutions? I think that's similar to your 1000 to 800 dpi question if you play a game with mouse pointer on the screen like SC2 or LoL or Dota.

Only thing I've was when I'd had to play sc2 in 720p through their settings but I was still using the same montior, didn't feel anything different.

I think that means it's as if you'd have played with 1250dpi on 1600x900 (though I got a little confused about the math). I'd guess you would be immune about a little change in the dpi.

I think the current firmware for it that is best for 800 / 1600 dpi is the 61? I will go ahead and search this up again but if anyone has a spawn please share why you're using the firmware you have, thanks.
