Thanks,
Just watched a review for the Zowie EC1 eVo, I think i'll get that.

There's no such thing as overpriced if it functions properly. All of the stuff like Sensei is overpriced because they are priced at a premium product level and have a sensor that makes them perform significantly worse than mice a quarter of the cost - they're not overpriced because they cost a lot.

because of the full rubberized surfaces on the zowie mouses. the current da also comes with imo shitty grips on its sides.

Yea it's bad. 3.5g has horrible slippery plastic sides, it's clearly designed as a palm grip mouse which isn't good for people looking to push the mouse to its limits mostly as you can't get grip on anything but the top of the mouse which fingertip type grips don't touch at all
4g has aparantly horrible mouse smoothing to compensate for jitter introduced by them pushing to 6000+dpi on an optical sensor (but they smoothed all dpi's.. not just top level) and the grips are far too small and out of place to do anything

Thank you both. So you both agree that Zowie AM or FK is the way to go? Are there any other viable competitors? Thoughts on the CM Storm Spawn? I see it uses a very potent sensor, 3090.

Just got a G100s to replace the G1, previously on the G1, my settings are full 11th bar and enhance pointer precision turned on. What dpi should I set for the same setting without enhance pointer precision and pointer speed on the middle/6th ?

You'll never have the same setting, because enhanced pointer position makes your sensitivity dynamic with the speed the mouse is moving, instead of fixed with the distance it is moving. Set one value, i'd advise strongly between 450-2000 (but 800 is an amazing value) and get used to it with decent posture

I own a few gaming mice and have a few rapid reviews on them from my gaming experiences. I'll start with my Razer's:
Razer Naga purchased in early 2012:
The Run Down:This was a decent mouse it was abit small and I have big digits so using all the number keys was quite difficult. I eventually trained my thumb to use it efficiently but I feel as if the mouse overall could be about 10% larger so that it fits better into more peoples hands. The extra keys and response time was great and 5600 DPI is more then enough I find for even the most twitchy of players. ( I rarely game above 4000DPI over and above just seems too sensitive.
The Good: - Plenty of keys makes mmo gaming where you have to constantly move a breeze. -Excellent DPI range. -Good reaction time
The Fatal Flaw:Ghost clicking... for those of you who don't know it is a notorious issue with certain Razer mice, I believe currently MLG Ryan is experiencing it as he mentioned the other day on stream that his mouse occasionally double clicks causing an unwanted mouse action. I first noticed this issue while I was playing a FPS a team mate and I were about to storm into a room I was looking right at him had my cursor pointed into the wall right by his head he went to run in and it was at that perfect moment that my mouse clicked. It 100% succeeded in headshotting my teammate and it looked like a blatant teamkill. He chose to forgive it and we continued playing but noticed that sporadically my gun would go off while pointed in a random direction. It was at this point he asked what mouse I was using, I told him naga and he laughed and said your mouse is haunted with the ghost click. I started looking around online for fixes for this and well there are fixes but they involve completely taking your mouse apart. I am a mechanically inclined person but I strongly believe that if I have to take a mouse a part after 3 months or RMA it, its not a product I am interested in keeping. So my Naga got retired and used to sight my hunting rifle.
Razer Lachesis
Purchased after my Naga:
The Rundown: I purchased this mouse wanting to go back to the simplicity of the Diamondback which had lasted me for about 5 years and was still working when I opted to replace it with the naga. It fit the hand well had a good DPI setting. Nothing really stands out as overwhelmingly positive or negative this was and is still just a solid mouse. I currently have one as a back up mouse. And it has the unique distinction of being the ONLY razer product that I have purchased in the past 4 years to work well past 6 months and to work just as well as it did the day I bought it, so take that for what its worth.
The Good:
- Reliable -Good enough Lazer -Fits the hand well
The Fatal Flaw: There is none really, this is simply a good entry level mouse, nothing overwhelmingly positive or negative. It just works.
Razer Mamba 2012
The rundown: This mouse started out as really solid I enjoyed being able to go wired or wireless, it had a good range. The dock was solid, I enjoyed that I could change its color. Its lazer is pretty good, it fits my hand well, it has enough buttons to get the job done, and a good DPI sensitivity range.
The Good: -DPI range -Customizable color pattern -Fits the hand well
The Fatal Flaw: Ghost clicking like the Naga this mouse ghost clicks and although I didn't discover this issue by blowing one of my teammates heads off, I did discover it by inadvertently tossing a grenade into the ground in front of me killing myself. At first I thought my finger slipped but as I gamed on in different games like Civ5 I found that while going to move my units they were being moved into the wrong hex because a click was being registered where I didn't want it to go. Further it did this during bloodbowl which cost me a star player and a few matches. Moving on its Bricked right now, well not really bricked as much as the battery is dead and no longer holds a charge after owning it for about 4-5 months. I bought this mouse so that I could play wireless, and now its only useable when its wired unless I want to get a new battery. I am again inside my warranty period for this particular razer product but after all my negative experiences with reliability I have since decided that when it dies in its wired form and is bricked for good I will move away from Razer as a peripheral provider period. I don't want to say all Razer products are shit, but I haven't had a positive experience since my Diamondback and further, when your putting out 120$'s for a mouse you expect quality. I am not a person who buys cheap, I put my money up expecting quality. What I got is a never ending parade of failures to meet basic quality control standards. I have spent a rather disgusting 900$'s on Razer products in 3 years giving them beyond a shadow of a doubt every opportunity to succeed. I don't abuse my products, which is evidence by the original G15 logitec keyboard that I have with all the letters worn off the keys and a noticeable groove worn into the space key where my right thumb has struck millions of times. I've had that since 2006 its still working. My original Diamondback that I gave to my dad to use with his laptop still working. What the hell happened to that level of quality control?

Would it be wiser for me to buy a WMO from ebay and buff the polling rate to 500Hz instead of getting a zowie FK or AM? The price is greatly favoring the wmo. What do you guys think?

There's still no hack to do that in Windows 8, so I don't know about the future of the mouse.
The Steelseries Kana V2 starts shipping on amazon.de next week. It might be very interesting as a WMO replacement. It seems it will be at most €50 in Europe, so it will probably be about $50 in NA. I heard they don't plan to sell it in the US for now, so I don't know when it will become available in NA.

@B_Type
do your mice have the z-axis issue associated with the Philips twin-eye sensor (which is the 5600dpi sensor in most razer mice)? + Show Spoiler [video] +

. What's your grip style? Fingertip 2. What's your sensitivity? Unsure 3. What's your maximum budget? ~$40 4. Do you want additional buttons? Doesn't matter 5. What games do you play? SC2 only. 6. Do you mind angle snapping? Unsure what this is. 7. Other relevant information: No glossy finish. The only mice I've ever used are the $10 ones you can find at your local electronic store. I've been thinking possibly of either Abyssus or a CM Storm spawn. My current mouse pad is also some black wrist pad combo that I got from Staples. Edit: Monitor res is 1600 x 900.

Could try the Roccat Pyra Wireless. It's 1000Hz wireless polling rate meaning it's as responsive as a wireless mouse. It's small and good for fingertip grip. It's a wireless/wired hybrid (can use wired mode too while charging the batteries). Non-glossy finish. You can pick one up for $30 on eBay usually (the wired-only version is even cheaper).

If you can use the WMO and you like the mouse, your question seems weird.
