If you can use the WMO and you like the mouse, your question seems weird.
Don't understand why my question seems weird to you. I am simply asking people which way I should go. Why wouldn't they be able to use the mouse? There seems to be some kind of misunderstanding somewhere. If it's me or you.

For example for me, I want around 800-1000dpi, so I can't use the WMO. I also can't hack USB for input devices to run at 500Hz on Windows 8.
If the WMO does everything you want, and you like the WMO, I don't see why you wouldn't buy it? It's a $10 mouse, so shouldn't be too expensive even with some weird pricing on ebay.

Someone I know just passed away and I ended up with their brand new Macbook Pro. The specs on this are much better than my old Samsung laptop so I am going to use it to play Dota 2 and Sc2. I was just wondering if anyone knew of gaming mice less than $100 that are compatible with Macs. I think a lot of Razer mice aren't so anything will be of help. Thanks.

Is the CM storm spawn a good fingertip grip mouse? Is it considered better at for fingertip grip than say the Abyssus? Out of the couple reviews I've read / seen of the Spawn I only see it being mentioned as a claw grip mouse.

The only mice I've ever used are the $10 ones you can find at your local electronic store. I've been thinking possibly of either Abyssus or a CM Storm spawn. My current mouse pad is also some black wrist pad combo that I got from Staples. Edit: Monitor res is 1600 x 900.

I'm leaning more towards the abyssus now though since I put my ring finger up next to the middle finger and use the pinky finger to pinch the mouse. Someone in this thread mentioned the Spawn is not good for that.

I personally liked the spawn better for several reasons:
heavier felt smoother side buttons better sensor.

I use my ring finger to pinch the mouse, my pinky just does nothing. That works well with the Abyssus but does not work at all with the Spawn. I tried the Xornet (same shape as Spawn) and had to send it back.
The Spawn, you can only lift by holding with the pinky. The ring finger does nothing for lifting and has its own resting area on the top.

I use my ring finger sometimes to click the right button and I put my middle finger around the mouse wheel. Which is what the person who said they didn't like the Spawn said they did as well. Still undecided though.
The mouse I'm currently using is generic hp mouse that comes with towers. I'm hoping to get something smaller than that and I think the Abyssus is roughly the same size but it doesn't have the edges facing out as much.

That ridge on the buttons of the Abyssus might be annoying to you.
The Spawn should be unusable from what I remember. I'm guessing the right mouse button is not wide enough, and the weird area on the right of the mouse would make it impossible to grab and lift the mouse with the pinky.

You could give the Zowie MiCO a try. It's a very small mouse but offers a harder-to-press button switch.

After playing some games and checking out if I do use that grip I don't seem to use my ring finger to click after all and it's just up there next to it. I only use it to right click when I browse the web for some reason. I'll check out the Mico, is the harder-to-press switch much more noticeable though?
Sorry for so many questions, I'm buying online I'd hate to go through the hassle of returning an item and also paying for it to be returned. heh

Yeah it's pretty noticeable, for me anyways when I first switched over. I have the same grip as you (fingertip with ring finger sitting beside the middle finger without pressing) and the MiCO is definitely my favorite mouse. I've read reviews about the Roccat Pyra which I suggested before because I was looking to get a wireless equivalent of the MiCO for my laptop.

Ordered a Microsoft Wheel mouse Optical today. Checked all the signs, and it is not fake! Used Ebay. Looking forward to use my favorite gaming mouse once again. SLT04 Unbeatable sensor!

Are the grips on the side good? That's a important part of me considering the Spawn the grips are just callng my name haha. The mouse I have is the glossy type and it's gotten really annoying this past summer.

It has a light fuzzy grip that will eventually wear down to a glossy coating, which will probably annoy you. If you order a Startale or KTRolster MiCO, they're already glossy coated. I think the wear-down glossy is pretty annoying but not going to stop me from using it xD (I have the blue MiCO). Another thing that may concern you is the squeeky mouse wheel, which for me went away after about a month of use.
The MiCO is not the perfect mouse but it's small, functional, modest looking, and awesome for SC2. It's also pretty cheap if you live in the U.S (less than $25 before shipping on Amazon). There was a store nearby my house that had them for $18 so I snagged two blue ones xD.

Doesn't the Mico have some issues with the sensor? Compared to the Avago-3090. Avago-3090 is one of the Flawless sensors. Together with the SLT04 for the Intelli mice and WMO.

It has the jump bug at least, might bother some but most apparently won't notice it like other sensor flaws

Yeah if you move it almost perfectly vertical up and down, it tends to jump to the left or right every 20 or so tries. I never noticed it until Cryo mentioned the error a while ago and purposely tested it myself. Other than that, the sensor is very good. There are no issues with jitter (which I had on my old Razer copperhead mouse).

'twas Valar that was complaining about it and said it was a pain for osu, i think it's just more visible when you draw vertical lines

Anyone know of any supply issues with the Zowie EC1 eVo. I can't seem to find one for sale in the UK!
