Starcraft 2 Low FPS

I have a GTX 480 and its been running superbly until about yesterday when starcraft started lagging so i checked my fps and it was down at 20 when it should run at 60ish.
Any suggestions?

Not really based on much but i was reading another thread and people were saying maybe your graphics card is overheating.
He was running at 1fps.

hard to tell, what temperature is it running at and core usage % is being used we need more info. Have you done anything to it lately? installed new drivers, new programs? are you running programs in the background? do you ever restart your computer? do you hav issues in low fps in other games as well?

try updating drivers @ nvidia.com

The 480 should run far higher than 60 mate, unless of course you're running with v-sync.
Like others have said, check your temps. The 480 runs HOT, so maybe its been downclocked cos of the heat.

Another thing to check would be your power settings. Make sure you're running at max performance, not power saving.

Also give the rest of your specs mate. cpu/mem/board etc

check inside your case for fluff in your fans..... my gf used to have a stupid throw thing over our sofa, which left fluff everywhere.... when i opened up the case and cleaned out the fans my computer suddenly worked again lol. The fans were literally completely clogged up with crap and the computer was overheating like a mofo

I guess there is some problem with sc2 itself currently.

I run as well about 70-90 fps on ultra with my 5870 but sometimes if i scroll fast i feel like heavy fps drops even though the fps still remains at 80

I think its because i put my comp on power save but imma check starcraft and edit. Thanks for the input! i should clean my comp tomrrow.. LOL
